LightMP3 v1.5.0 - Image 1

Music lovers, gather around. PSP homebrew developer sakya has just upgraded LightMP3 to version 1.5.0.

LightMP3 is a battery friendly music player for the Sony PlayStation Portable. It's pretty nifty when you're far away from a power outlet (outdoors, traveling, etc.) since it saves enough power to go on Energizer Bunny-like mode for up to eleven hours. This new release sports a few changes and a couple of bug fixes (list taken from the changelog included in the zip file):
  • Added: HP and RM on first line if headphones and/or remote controller are plugged.
  • Added: the program checks the display brightness at startup and asks if you want to lower it
  • Added: support to 22khz (plays fine with CPU at 40mhz), 24khz (plays fine with CPU at 40mhz) and 48khz mp3.
    • Note that to play 48khz mp3s the cpu must be raised to 80/85 mhz
  • Added: Fastforward (no rewind, sorry). Press right and left to raise and lower playing speed.
  • Added: volume bar
  • Fixed: if you delete .scrobbler.log with LightMP3 running (activating USB), the file is recreated.
  • Fixed: if the sample rate isn't supported an error message is shown
Check out the readme for more info about the app. After which, enjoy your music!

» 10 Band EQ

It would be awesome if a graphic 10 band equalizer was implemented. I know you can configure it by changing a text file, but it would be better if you could change it to suit different songs.
