JaPSPanese - practice your hiragana & katakana |
Ó
Need to brush up on your proficiency with the Japanese language (for reading all your manga, we presume)? PSP homebrew coder transce080 dropped by the QJ.NET forum earlier to announce the release of JaPSPanese. This application is a learning tool that will help users practice their hiragana/katakana. Quoting the readme's summary of this application's functions:
You can cycle through the hiragana/katakana in consecutive order or in random order. Random mode will use each hiragana/katakana only once for each cycle of the set. You may choose to have the hiragana/katakana or the letters displayed first. The answer is displayed until you release the button, then it moves to the next question. Scrolling through the hiragana/katakana in consecutive mode will not interrupt your progress in random mode.
Full controls and installation instructions should be available in the readme included with the file, and over at the author's release thread in the QJ.NET forum. transce080 further notes that JaPSPanese is built to run on custom firmwares, or 1.00. If you plan to run the app on 1.5, you will have to format its EBOOT accordingly. Enjoy the download, and be sure to check out similar apps like PSP Kanji to give yourself a more well-rounded study session.

This is a wonderful program and I hope to see updates as he continues through school. Oh, first!
I always wanted one of these app for my Treo. Now I get it on PSP first ;)
Just make sure you learn to pronounce the damn things properly while you're at it. - U
uhh "Jap"? Isn't that kind of offending?
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pspkanji/ 2.2 out.
The name of the program is the word Japanese with the "p" replaced with "PSP". It is in no way meant to offensive. This is a naming scheme I used alot, as can be seen by the name of the last program I released VidoePSPy, where the "sp" in spy is replaced with "PSP".
