ImageViewer Open Beta for the PSP

This one's for the new guys - the aspiring programmers who have the guts to try and see what they can do for the PSP and DS. Thanks to guys like them that we get to experience the innovations we enjoy seeing with every new homebrew.

Xploren just announced that he's released his Image Viewer Open Beta, which he says is his very first attempt at programming. It's not really much compared to some of the complex apps we've probably seen, but take note it's an Open Beta release - and xploren's open to suggestions for his first born.

Among some of the current quirks he's still fixing:

There isn't a scrolling feature yet, so you can only view 480x272 images at the moment. :P
Currently, it isn't EBOOTed, so you'll need to have Lua Player. Don't complain in this thread, I'll do it in the next release.
The options aren't working right now. The next version will have it.
It can only handle up to 2 images at the moment....... the baddest part of it.

It's still in the test phase, so we're hoping xploren's fellow programmers could help the dude out - always cool to see a new face giving programming a shot. And as always, remember to check out the bundle's README for instructions. Cheers!

This blits a certain one of three images to the screen for one frame if you press a button. And the images have to be a certain name. And you cant view any more than that. Which means this mustve taken about 10 minutes to create. And then he's scared his code is going to be STOLEN so he encrypts it? Anyone dumb enough to steal code is still smart enough to only steal code worth stealing. Yes I believe it is great that someone is starting to code lua, but people, please don't release your 10-minute app that uses nothing but control input and image load/blitting. And for anyone who wants to tell ME to program something better, go ahead, i've got something better sitting in a folder on my computer right now.

I'll take a guess is say the supported images formats are jpg, gif, png at a maximum of 512x512 - just like Lua supports.

This isn't just made to be JUST an image viewer, idiots. If your family member plugs your PSP into your comp, they can't see the folder. It's called frickin' PRIVACY. And I told you *****ers already, THIS I ONLY A BETA. Read the damn article.

Like seriously, the psp comes with a built in image viewer that's soooooooooo much better, so why download this one?
