IDStorage Manager v1.2 - with create and delete keys function - Image 1Homebrew developer Chilly Willy has just rolled out a new build for utility application IDStorage Manager that brings it up to version 1.2. Definitely a welcome release since the last update this program had was way back in March.

Like the name implies, this program views, dumps, and verifies existing keys found in your PlayStation Portables. To make this a bit simpler, let us give you an example of the several things that you can do with IDStorage Manager.

If you want to restore your PSP back to stock, all you have to do is run this program on a stock PSP and dump the keys. Run this program again on the PSP you wish to restore using the obtained keys. It's that simple. Anyway, aside from several big fixes, version 1.2 now allows users to create and delete keys. The colors are inverted as well to make it easier on the eyes.

If you plan to use this program, please do read the documentation included in the download below to avoid having any problems.

What exactly do IDstorage keys do? Can downgrading/upgrading a psp damage or corrupt these in any way, and if so, what happens?

I had recovered my old bricked psp with Pandora's Battery but it still had damaged keys that PB could not repair. With this I was able to dump the keys from my second psp and fix all the damaged ones on the old. So now I have two psp's in perfect working condition. Thanks!

%u201CThe keys are various settings stored in the flash. They are mostly low-level stuff that concerns the operation of things like the USB and WLAN. Screwing up the keys can result in the USB not working quite right, the WLAN hanging, brightness issues, or low battery issues. Generally, you don%u2019t want to mess with the keys.

Cool application dude!

This is a great idea, something simple and useful unlike a lot of more complicated flashers around.

Ok, apparently what I did was totally retarded and didn't work they way i thought it would.

Replacing all the keys with the ones form my other psp caused my wifi to stop working and I could not play my iso's.

Fortunatly, I wasn't such a retard that I didn't dump the original keys and back them up before I made the change.

... a TERRIBLE IDEA.

Screwing up your idstorage because you don't know what your doing is a way to PERMANENTLY BRICK your PSP.
