IceTea v1.1 - Image 1Tommydanger from our forums has just updated his IceTea graphical user interface (GUI) for making Popstation-compatible PSX EBOOTs. The point of this GUI is to give you just one program that would allow you to create PSP-compatible PSX eboots, extract ISOs from PSX eboots, create manual from png images and to create manuals from a simple text file.

All the basics were in v1.0 but this updated version has been released to enhance usability. Here's the changelog:
  • Added gameid autodetection (thanks to SeattleMan from www.sonyindex.com for providing his PS1 game database)
  • Added progress bar to iso extraction/eboot compilation dialog, so you actually see the progress :P
  • Fixed glitch which made the windows explorer think iso extraction/eboot compilation dialog crashed when in reality it was still running
This program also features CDDA support built in by Tinnus and the proper iso extraction by flatwhatson, so some of the credit for this excellent application goes to them. Note: This should run on all Windows versions from 98 up until the recently-released Windows Vista 32-bit.

i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get psx iso/roms that actually work?

» Nice

Good app. Haven't had any problems with the First Release. Man the Forum page for the 1st release is all about how the name was created ... Sheesh.

Can / will anyone answer me ... does it really matter what you put for the GAME ID tag? I "just made one up" and it seems to be fine, but might it be a problem for me down the line??

Thanks

» I should read the whole thing :-)

» Cool

Is the non-encrypted data.psp from 3.03 oe-c popstation incorporated with this app? Does it still need key.bin to convert?

» small eboots

will this allow you to compress the iso as small as it can go, or do you still need a seperate program to rip out the filler?

This app usese the latest popstation. I loved the first because it just worked a little better for me then autopopstation v4 and now the author has made the game id part as simple as the rest of the app. Great job and I can't wait to start using it.

» Alcohol 120%

Well I tried Alcohol 120% to rip my PS1 game ... it worked ... but the Game disk was 485 megs and the Bin/Cue from Alcohol was 557 megs and the ending Eboot from IceTea is 558 megs ... any way to make this smaller?

Also I am sooo lost on this "Auto Game ID" thing ... how is it auto? I had to input the Game ID by hand. Am I missing something?

But hey this App (IceTea) does Work I was able to make an Eboot from the Bin/Cue and it played on my PSP

» got crap in your skull ?

U talk *****, if eminem is your god its because there are some "damn negros telling stories about cars and crap" backing him.

If Dre wasnt there, I guess Eminem would just be an ecstasy addict

There are no god of rap, there are GODS of rap, and they are NWA, Public Enemy and so on.

Eminem is just a white piece of trash selling music to white teens too afraid to listen to men's rap...

» ID Autodetection? How does it work?

Hi guys, how does this 'autodetection' for the Game ID thing works?

I fill all the basic form, like path to ISO, Title, Compression, and Output Directory, yet when I click on 'Let's Go', it still asks me to input the Game ID...

Am I missing something? (btw, i have the 1.1 version, which comes with PopPS1ID.db, supposedly the Game ID database...)

» Screen size

When I play the games i've converted the screen size isn't right - black bars top and right hand side... Odd. Any ideas anyone?

by Tunca - 2007-02-01 07:39
» RE

Might be because you're trying to play a PAL (european) game? AFAIK, Popstation isnt fully compatible with PAL games.

by Matt - 2007-02-01 07:48
» thanks

That will be it - i'm from the UK so my games are all PAL! Thanks!
