Homebrew - Hold v3.4 - Image 1Homebrew developer Torch has released the latest update to Hold+, a plugin that'll help your battery save on juice.

This is a bug fix release, addressing a problem that caused some PSPs to remain underclocked even after turning off the Hold switch. Torch explains:

The problem is the Hold switch doesn't consistently return a pressed state. It sometimes rapidly fluctuates between an Off and On signal.

If this fluctuation occurs within one iteration of the main program loop, it causes problems. Its not humanly possible to toggle the Hold switch so fast, but a loose connection can :P

NICE!!!

Two questions though. Are the backlight and screen themselves, two different functions? Sort of like the Gameboy Advance SP. And if so, can this be implemented to the PSP so that one could get the see the screen without the backlight?

.

Yes you can have the screen without the backlight, but its pretty much impossible. You can vaguely make out the icons if you look at it from an angle.

I have/had some problems with v3.3. Sometimes when I unlock it, the VSH menu pops up. And I KNOW I`m not pressing the Select button. :) The same was with 3.2 (and even earlier I think). Hope this solves it... . Slim, TA-85. v3.2 on 4.01 M33-2 had this problem. v3.3 on 4.01 M33-2 and 5.00 M33-3 has this problem.
