HideFile PRX v2 |
Ó
As most of you know by now, ever since the PlayStation Pornable scandal hit various major news media the PSP-unfamiliar folks have been suspiciously eyeing our PSPs. Time and time again, you'll encounter some who'll demand an inspection of your handhelds' contents. myschoo probably had that scenario as the inspiration for his work, HideFile PRX.
As the name implies, this PRX module enables the user to hide files via the XMB with a quick (preset) button press. Very useful, we must say, especially in those "tight" situations (*wink*). I mean, you'll never know when an inquiring adult will go after your PSP to play Tetris homebrew, right? Here's the beefy changelog for Hide File PRX v2:
- Ability to hide GAME folders
- Fixed bug with custom buttons settings
- Little change in config file
- Displays confirm message ("Hidden !", "Unhidden !" and "Wrong Code !")
- Little code clean up

FIRST.
Hey guys. What kept me from installing this in version 1 stage was that I wasn't sure if it would brick my psp which is on 3.52 M33. Does this work on 3.52 M33?
Do you need to have irshell to use this?
I can only think of two kinds of people who need this application: the first being some kid who wants to keep porn or other stuff on his PSP that he doesn't want his parents to see or the second person being someone who uses their PSP to openly show the world its contents. Other than that, any files on your PSP are privately owned by you, and unless a cop walks up with a warrant saying "We have a warrant to inspect your Playstation Portable unit" you can tell them to shove off. I give you props on the app, I always welcome new homebrew and I'm more than positive some people will find it really useful, me; however just don't care about telling nosy people to get out of my business. ~ Your overly social friend NobleWolfwood +D
I love this program! Now if you can fix it so the browser works with it still on, I would be realy happy!
what is the psp scandal?
This Program won't brick ur PSP and works fine on my 3.52 M33. Cuz,it's not using flash but prx.
did u forget about the psycho girlfriend who inspects for porn, this has been a godsend for me so i dont have to search for my hidden mp4 porn dvd then transfer files to psp, jerk off, then have to delete em all, then repeat when needed, its a fawkin hassle
how do you set the preset?
GET WITH THE TIMEZ
I've tried both the first and now this version on my 3.52 m33-2 psp and neither of them seem to work. The readme says after installing and enabling the prx in the recovery menu to (enable USB and go to "ms0:/seplugins/hidefile/". There will be new file called "hidefile.ini"); however, this "hidefile.ini" doesn't show up on my psp at all. Just thought I'd let you know since I'm addicted to beta testing homebrew.
