Guitar v0.1 - Image 1At one point or another, someone out there might have imagined some kind of Guitar Hero-ish game for the Sony PlayStation Portable. While that's still just a figment of the imagination, PSP homebrew coder amrcidiot developed a nifty little alternative.

amrcidiot brings us Guitar version 0.1 for the PSP. As you can tell by the name, this homebrew application simulates the musical instrument of its namesake. Chords can be pulled off effortlessly with these simple controls:
  • E Chord-Cross
  • F Chord-Square
  • G Chord-Triangle
  • A Chord-Circle
  • B Chord-Down
  • C Chord-Left
  • D Chord-Up
  • Eb Chord-Right
  • Drumbeat 1-L
  • Drumbeat 2-R
Everything you need to run Guitar version 0.1 is in the downloadable archive. Please be reminded that this is still a beta release, so if you spot anything that shouldn't be there, post your comments on amrcidiot's forum thread.

Hopefully this won't be as boring as playing Guitar Hero with a normal controller instead of a Guitar controller.

Yeah, I wish that existed. It's not like someone released a Guitar Hero clone for the NeoFlash coding competition, or anything.
