Snapshot

A new year means new beginnings. With that said, we're welcoming this bit of news from homebrew dev kando, who's just released Flash0/1 Free Space Calculator v.3 for your PSP's consumption.

For those wondering what this brew does, it's a program that detects how much space you've got left in your Flash0. The program does so by copying a large file to your flash0, and detecting how much it manages to contain. It then deletes this file, and sends a file named flash0space.txt to your ms0:/ as a report.

Now, as for the new tweaks in v.3:
  • Added calculation of Flash1's free space after Flash0 is done calculating.
  • it now also saves ms0:/flash1space.txt
For further details on the 'brew, view the README file included in the bundle. We'd like to thank kando for this app, and .p0Wer. for placing it in the boards. Thanks, guys!

Flashes?

I really want to use this program but i want to know if it flashes or not because pspupdates dont seem to say anyfing about bricking.

I'd imagine...

if the power was to cut off during the writing process, it might not brick, but you'd have a very large file filling up your Flash0 that would have to somehow be removed.

brick risk ?

couldn't it corrupt the flash fs (if there's any as i've heard there's no more fat on flash with newer fw) if there's a power problem during the write ?

re ????

ugg there is a small bug where if your jpn0.pgf font has been removed or replaced w/ a smaller file this program wont work properly as it uses that large file to make the calculations...will be making a fixed 3.01 version to fix this shortly.

bleh

Anti-credits? You're extremely lame. Especially since you listed one of the best sites on there. ps2nfo? Pff, you're probably just some sore loser who got banned. =(

kando mentioned to me thats theres a bug that will be fixed soon

if you replaced jpn0.pgf or deleted it, the calculator will give you incorrect info
