Gracz54 from our forums has updated his Flash Copy for PSP. Flash Copy is a program that copies the contents in your PSP firmware (flash0 and flash1) into your memory stick. It is a simple but easy to use tool for dumping the firmware off your PSP. The dumped firmware will be stored in ms0:/f0 and ms0:/f1.Download: [Flash Copy for PSP]

Would I be able to get a copy of my firmware, and then if upgrading to 2.0 or higher, downgrade by just copy and pasting the flash copy into that folder? Does this question make sense?

No. You can't and never will be able to downgrade anything above 2.0.
this is another great app next you might crack 2.6. that will be the day i'm happy, but till then this is great

Dude, you sound about as idiotic as the people that used to say that 2.6's would NEVER EVER run homebrew... EVER! Unless you're a developer and have factual proof that this is the case.... then don't make such ludicrous statements. Yeah, pretty cool if you want to dump firmware 1.0, or 1.5. Or maybe anything else if it works on those firmwares.
Doesn't that defeat the purpose? If you want to dump 2.6 firmware on the ms, then you'll have to update to 2.6, then run the firmware to dump the firmware? kind of a paradox

dued i looked in my flash copy file and there was something there that was never there before and i have 2.60
With this, you shoould theoretically be able to get the firmware from 1.0 correct?
If so, then someone might find a way to downgrade BACK to 1.0.
Now for the good part, once we have gotten to 1.0, someone could make a 2.0/2.5/whatever firmware that is able to run homebrews just as easy as 1.0/1.5.
Of course this is all theoretical, plus it's probably next to impossible to find anyone who still has a 1.0 PSP

if someone would be able to get the 1.0 flash 0 and flash 1 files and if someones tries to replace those files in the 2.6 upgrader. so in theory you are upgrading to 1.0, then you can upgrade to 1.5. this is probably very unprobably but this is what i think.
OMG , the ones who said they downgraded are liars , it's impossible to downgrade with this because , how can it access the 1.5 firmware codes on 2.6 if 2.6 hasn't been cracked. It's not funny to trick people you *****ing liar who said that this downgrades from 2.6 to 1.5.

lol, ok. I am running flash copy, but its at 0%...don't even tell me why i'm doing this. I just want to change my font, and it said something about flash and *****. So i thought you needed this, but than again....it's STUCK at 0%. Suggestions?

But I figure if you know what to do in the world of coding. Which I do not. You dump the firmware and you work with it to get whatever info you want. I would be trying to dump my 2.6 (had to upgrade...KATAMARI MAN... I HAD TO) But I'm having issues with my psp2tv. Everything is working aside from the right button on the Dpad. It works just not when the faceplate is on. It's a tension issue.

NOBODY answered the question yet .did somebody copy the 2.6 flash........flash 0 and flash 1 so i can play my 2.6 game on 1.5......if you have no idea wat im talking about dont bother ONLY people that know......theres got to be a site that posted them....if you know post the link for us.....jjeezz lluuiizz:-(
