Extended Pandora Bootmenu v0.8 - with USB function |
Ó
Homebrew developer Hellcat has informed us that version 0.8 of the WIP application Extended Pandora Bootmenu has just been released over at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum. In case you missed our last article about this, take note that the program can help you with Noobz and C+D's Pandora's Battery.
In a nutshell, Hellcat's application adds a menu to a Pandora memory stick aside from other features that should make things a bit easier. The last build we had for Extended Pandora Bootmenu was version 0.6, so here are the changelogs for versions 0.7 and 0.8 directly from the coder himself:
- v0.7:
- Enhanced compatibility for programs launched with access to the real flash0:/
- sceKernelLoadModule gets patched to load all modules from ms0:/ instead of flash0:/, so even with flash emulation/redirection disabled the applications are able to load additional modules
- Finished CFW installer support
- You can now launch a CFW installer straight from the Pandora boot and install the CFW, without the need to go to 1.50 first (I tested with installing 3.52-M33 over an original Sony 3.52 and a totally bricked PSP - should work with any other combination as well.) This function takes care of formatting and installing a proper IPL! The IPL flashed is the custom IPL that eliminates the need for patching TA-082/086 PSP to run 1.50/CFW.
- v0.8:
- Fixed the bug introduced in 0.7 that creating flash1:/ directories might fail
- USB access function implemented
- You can now enable USB access to MemStick, Flash0, and Flash1 straight from the menu to perform whatever file operation you have in mind.
- A neat gimmick is that it shows you what kind of transfer is currently done (read or write) and how many KB you have transferred so far

wow great work ^^
Nice Work!!!! What would be great is if you could launch the CFW update from psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp since m33 and oe and se cfws use that folder for recovery as well. just something to think about.
Their Readme file confuses me - Get the flashemu.prx and lfatfs_patched.prx from the pandora MS files you saved earlier (they are in the kd folder) and copy those into ms0:/kd/ What you mean saved earlier. I never knew I saved them earlier
How about an easy installer. Cause I don't get any part of that readme. Well i do but i cant get the firmware boot off the pandoras battery to work.
Please some one make an easy installer for this... and NO i'm not an Noob!!! i'm just tired of following a readme 4 times, becaus its descriptions is too short! I got the 1.50 booting up from the MS, but need the menu! i have tried this four times and i am quite angry right now. This is the FIRST readme that i really don't understand. But anyway, REALLY NICE APP! Keep up the good work! and please do a better job at the readme next time ;-) there is a lot confusing at the part where to copy the files from and to... /Xi-Bit
# *** pandora modules *** /kd/decryptprx.prx /kd/lflash_fatfmt.prx /kd/ipl_update.prx /kd/ta082_driver.prx /kd/libpsardumper.prx # *** /pandora modules *** Should this part go in to the file too? the: # *** /pandora modules *** And what about this, this is confusing me wery much!: From Pandoras "/kd" folder (that you were supposed to store away savely ;)) copy the following files over to the firmwares "/kd" folder that is now on your stick: - all files ending with .ELF (a.k.a. copy *.ELF) - decryptprx.prx - ipl_update.prx - ta082_driver.prx - libpsardumper.prx - pspbtcnf_updater.txt (overwrite the existing one) I'm TOTALLY LOST!
... and it doesn't work.
I dont get it either!! and i'm not new at this stuff!! it's usually pretty simple but i don't think this works completely at the moment. but otherwise, nice work!!
