Doodle away with PSPWrite v1.0.1 |
Ó
Sony PSP homebrew developer Zx-81 has released yet another nifty PSP homebrew application. It's called PSPWrite version 1.0.1, and as the name suggests, this is a simple text editor which is easier to use than Notepad.zx-81's PSPWrite version 1.0.1 allows users to edit even large text files in both dos and unix mode, using iso8859-1 (8bits) characters encoding. All iso8859-1 characters are present in the "Danzeff like" virtual keyboard.
What's more, PSPWrite has IR Keyboard support. It's based on the work of Harald Fielker who authored the PSP IR Keyboard Library with a new patch from Craig to support Sprint PCS IR keyboard. PSPWrite version 1.0.1 was developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 3.40-OE. It was tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard.
Everything else that you'll need to know about PSPWrite version 1.0.1 can be found in the readme, so don't forget to check it out. Sources are included in case you want to have a look at them. Download these three files and enjoy typing away!

First!
Does this app open PDF files and if not, then why mention it? The ability to view and even edit documents on the PSP while on the go is a good thing but I'm wondering when we'll ever see a PDF app that allows you to view PDF's higher than 4 to 8 kb. Txt, Doc, PDF and I'm sure there is a few more... would be good to see viewable on the PSP without size limitations.
The "First" loser to post on this thread. Enjoy, you ***** ing prick!
PDA !+ PDF. Also, dear QJ author, to quote Zx-81: "This editor should be easier to use than Notepad (part of PSP-PDA project)." Ergo, THIS PROGRAM IS NOT PART OF THE PSP-PDA PROJECT. Notepad is. THIS IS NOT.
It's called IR SHELL!!! IT READS PDF'S!! JEEZ! It has a plug in for it that comes with it.
First of all, this project is not part of the PDA project. To answer Wicked_Insider PSPWrite has no real size limitation (as far as there is enough memory, you can edit text file of several mega bytes). Zx
Jealous much? I am. +D
