Devious is a project in the beta stage from Kevin (kid101skater; if we remember correctly, he helped with the Mario Don't Drop the PSP project) and Tarek (over at Deviant PSP). Feedback from a lot of users is that this baby will be better than IR Shell if the improvements keep on coming, but there's still a lot of things that need to be done.
Some of you may already know about this project because Devious was released a while back (October 6) and an update was released several hours later to fix some bugs. As it says on Kevin's post: "I decided to stay up all night last night and work on this. I added some great features. BIG thanks to DreaDNoughT for helping me even more getting this running and with the coding." (You might remember DreaDNoughT's HvS and other games.)
For those of you who want to beta test this, here's what's in Devious beta 0.5:
- only tested on 1.0 and 1.5 does need kernel
- MP3 player
- USB support
- options (shows battery info as of now)
- multitask (you can listen to music while doing other things)
- you can now exit features by pressing both triggers
- exit gui via start - takes a min
- a couple bugs but it will get worked out
- known bugs: sometimes crashes when going back to MP3 or USB for a second time

This should be getting some updates soon... it supposivly works on 2.0-2.71 with the new eloader. give it a go... working on things still. drop by www.deviantpsp.com and post in the fourms for features you would like to see. thanks

Hi, I just got a psp which is ehem..."blessed" with the cursed TA-082 motherboard, n currently, my FW is 2.71. I'm very new to all these psp things n trying really hard to catch up with everything dat needs to be known. Can anyone of U tell me if I can use this on my psp with THE motheboard n how do I go about doing it..... Thank you very much.

every new shell comes out saying something about how it will be better than iR Shell someday. There is nothing iR Shell dosn't do that is still shell related. You can put all the bells and whistles on it that you want, but there is no point in someone spending months coding just trying to come close to iR Shell's efficiency.

didnt kid101 work on dark karnage shell? if he did... why start an all new shell.
The DarkKarnage Shell was stopped a long time ago due to legal issues, this is a shell to promote DeviantPSP ( Mine/Kevin/Tarek's Site ), this will be better than DarkKarnage and ALOT of other shells if its continued.
Dont say it wont ever be better than IRShell, anything can be done with alot of work.
why are the shells coming out again!? i thouhgt this craze was over. the competition has been blown away by iRshell's final version and unless PSIX nexus ever gets released, itll probably stay that way
Does it really matter if a new shell is coming out?? I mean, you guys are acting so un greatful. We've been trying our best and all we get is "it'll never be better the IRShell." Well maybe not, but atleast try to encourage other people.......
Yeah, they should just stop. iRshell just blows this away. It has everything and can't possibly be beat.

It looked like a really good shell looking at the pic, but is in fact extremely buggy! I recommend waiting for this to develop some more. would be awesome if there wasnt so many bugs!
