DevHook 0.50 AND older DevHooks on your PSP |
Ó

Getting Booster's DevHook 0.50 on your PSP to play 2.8x games was the present in the stocking that blew everyone's chimneys away. But let's just say that old presents should not be thrown away, too. We're talking about older versions of DevHook here. One potential reason is because the older DevHooks have better compatibility with older PSP games.
Makes sense. Hence, wraggster of DCEmu announces dodswm's hex-edited DevHook for 2.71, and DevHooks 0.45 and 0.46. With these, PSP owners can boot DevHook 0.50 for 2.8x off the Stick, and (for example) DevHook for Dark_Alex's 2.71 SE-C off the flash. One even has THREE DevHooks happily playing in his PSP. Backwards compatibility in a flash - literally, which means you might want to be careful going about with this. Here's what dodswm has to say about that process:
Note: When installing the firmware onto your mem stick, DO NOT overwrite any of the files from this package, or it will not work. Just do a normal devhook install, and the devhook folder on the mem stick root is "HD" not "DH".
The complete package at the download link below includes the hex-edited DevHooks for 2.71, 0.45, and 0.46, PLUS a copy of Chunglam's DevHook Launcher/VSHEX Mod 1.65c that has been modified to use the "LM" folder on the Memory Stick root, what with all these modded DevHooks to load and all. Let's just hope everyone can keep all these numbers sorted out.
(BTW, the single DL link below contains all FOUR file sets in individual ZIP files. Like we said: hope you can keep the numbers sorted out. The individual ZIP file names are your friend in this case.)

1ST POST!!!!
FIRST. Is this the only one that can play on SE-C?
3rd
4th *****ERS!
5th cant people just get SE-C
..and drop dead with the first post nonsense.
working on a downgrader for 2.8x? I know its hard but please try.
I dont get it, all i do and have done since the begining of devhook is rename the "__SCE__DH_ENG" and "%__SCE__DH_ENG" folders in GAME. like this "__SCE__DH_ENG2"
Works perfect for me and always has. and all your versions of devhook operate thru the same DH folder. and since version 5 is a little different, simply copy your psp_game.txt (whatever) files into the FW folder.
Maybe im missing something here, but for the longest time when i upgrade to new devhook, i keep my older version just by simply adding a letter or number to BOTH the old/new folders. never have ran into a problem yet.
but you can't run 2 copys of devhook like that can you? :)
I downloaded it and installed it, Works great, Thanks!
BTW, The banner looks like it was made in Paint, I think we need a new one, LOL
PSP homebrew is getting more complicated to install. But I LOVE my 2.71/3.00 hybrid firmware devhook! Thanks for doing the work for me this time. :)
When they say FLASH does it mean that this Devhook could brick our PSPs?. I hope this dosent write over the flash memory....
Meh. Ill just stick to using the hybrid 2.7x/2.8x on SE-C

Hello PSP Owners,
I'm using fw 1.50 on my PSP. I don't want to use the SE-C method. I rather use Devhook itself with the UMD in my drive. Would this [Hex-edited DevHooks 0.4x/for 2.71 SE-C package] be a good choice to use. Thank You in Advance!
SUSAN BOXER
I use new devhook 0.50.
but if you put the firmware 2.71 in the folder 2.71 of the new devhook, it' s work full.
You can be selected it from menu devhook 0.50.
2.71 Full working, with all function.
100% Work, Testet.
Try to trust.
okay laugh all you want... but I can't figure out how to install this thing and dont tell me to follow the instructions because I downloaded the whole pack and did not get any... also I may inclued I have not used devhook before so do I need them?
Thats *****, the Browser wont work
how do we get chunglams mod to work on SE-C cause i get the reconfigure to work but when i actually try to load up devhook it spazzes out and goes black screen then crashes.
Is there anyway to make this work with HEND? Me and another guy tried figuring out a way last night by ourelves. We could get the 0.50 launcher to start but when we started it, it just went back to 1.5. Is there anyway this method can be used for us TA-082 2.71 ers?
Thanks
Hi Guys....
Glad you appreciate my efforts and glad it made a post on QJ!
I have a version that uses "50" on the mem stick root.http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t+37517
yea thnx alot boost
This hex edited version of 2.71 isn't done by booster you moron.
drop
its really not very hard to hex edit every "dh" into an "hd" but good job i guess
need help using devhook 0.50 and if anybody have the full install and if anybody could get back at me y2e1210@yahoo.com thanks
nice way for spamers for spaming your mail that way.
its your fault, quit whining
IS IT POSSIBLE TO EMULATE v1.5 ON SE-C TO GET OLDER HOMEBEW TO WORK? I put the files into the DH, and used an older devhook and tryed loading v1.5, but the screen just turns black.
I got devhook .50 to work and emulate firmware 2.82 on my 2.71 TA-082 motherboard psp. Thanks
how about you STFU he can say whatever the ***** he wants
my a ss u got it to work. u fat a ss liar get a life you idiot
so with this we can have 2 devhooks at the same time?
becuz me i want the 5.0 devhook and the 1.65c mod devhook . could some1 tell me how to do this ? i have firmware 1.5
No, i cannot run 2 seperate devhooks, i can run 3+! lol. just renaming them works perfectly fine. for example, one game runs best on 46, so i boot that game with 46 devhook. but other games, i guess you could say FTB2 online, which i dont play, i would boot it with 5.0. no need to hex anything. just add a letter or number to each folder name....done. i have been doing this since the first devhook. i dont keep more than 2 versions now tho, as 46 and 50 is all you need. i had 44 as well, but its useless.
sure how, i think so
That doesnt work with 0.46 and 0.50
i cant understand a set of instructions that actually work...someone has a link with specific instructions out there.??
help please!!!!
