Just a few days after telling the homebrew community">homebrew community that he would not be making a 3.11 custom firmware any time soon, Dark-AleX comes back to us to fulfill his other promise - a POPS loader plugin that should enable 3.10 OE to load POPS from 3.00 to 3.11 OE.This shouldn't come as a suprise for most of us, given that even DAX mentions that the only major difference between 3.10 and 3.11 is the POPS - which is exactly what this plugin will remedy, and then some (loads from 3.00 to 3.11, remember?).
There's not much else to say at this point, except our usual reminder to for you to view the full instructions included in this bundle's README. Also do remember to thank DA for his efforts - we all appreciate it. Thanks dude!

I really wish Sony would come out with new features, it feels awesome to update your PSP knowing you have everything that Sony's firmware has, and it's still capable of homebrew. Dark_AleX, you're the best, good work man.

does this plugin work for all the custom firmwares, especially for the 3.03 OE-C. I wanted to keep custom icons so I stayed with 3.03, so does it work with it.

what good is it to load POPS from 3.00 to 3.11? wouldn't loading 3.11 be the best because it has all the features of previous firmwares?
The Battle Splash was disabled in Final Fantasy 7 after 3.02, so I still use that version of pops to play. Sorta like having lower versions of ePSXe in order to get past some FMV's that froze in certain games (FF9)
what battle splash? can you explain what that is?

Suikoden 2 used to freeze in boss battle mode in 3.03 but now in 3.10 it no longer does
Brave Fencer musashi used to freeze during the intro with 3.10 but with this plugin it works fine.
These updates DO make a difference. Shadow tower now plays at full speed .
Why would he release it for only use on 3.10 OE? Doesnt he know most ppl dont use that because of the topmenu problem & no fix for cintro either. Most ppl are still at 3.02 & 3.03. That's whack.... whatever my select psx games run fine & i'd rather keep my psp's custom look. Thanks DAX on behalf of the haomebrew community, but no thanks in regards to myself.

D_A has already realeased a 3.02 pops for 3.03. Be greatful for what you already have. It's not like your paying for it. your lucky to have a 3.xx that can run 1.5 kernel. Damn man your a wimpering b!tch.

This would make 3.03 OEC the definitive firmware - the only reason to upgrade to 3.10 oea' is for the popstation - Please some one do it!!

heres a reason for me to update from 3.03OE to 3.10OE :)
3.10 has support for european psx games and 3.11 has support for changing the psx controller among other things. search the qj february archives; i think there is an indepth article somewhere in there.
You need the fix for brave fencer musashi. Extract a savegame from after the intro, then use the joker command code on cmgsccc.com

this works only on 3.10OE. basically this allows people on 3.10OE to load all POPS from 3.00OE upwards. so you can upgrade and still play ur 3.02OE POPS.
run umd's like normal, you don't need devhook on OE's. iso's run in the iso folder and show up in the game folder, you still need a disk to run the games unless you set the recovery menu setup to run w/o umd. hope that helps.
I read the readme and it made me feel like dumb*** so could anyone help me out with a step by step guide or something that is helpful so I can play Smackdown 2 again. Also I am using 3.10 OE-A'. Thankyou.
I just updated from FW1.5 to 3.10 oe A and had wanted to play a PSX game but I can't figure out what I need to do with this plugin? I copied psar_dump2 to the GAME folder and put firmware 3.11 with it (according to this readme) but I can't run PSAR dumper v2b from the XMB (it gives me the error "Game could not be started 8002014C). I just want to be able to play Castlevania SOTN and FF VII, any suggestions to fixing this? Thanks
Well, I don't know about you guys but I'd like DA to include the support in the XMB to play 7z format games like any other
ISO BIN CSO formats. I have yet to figure out how to use my 7z formatted games but it would be nice if I didn't need a
special app just to use them.

Is the 2 second sequence that connects to the fight scene. Usually uses some kind of blur effect or the screen gets wiped away right before you hear the awesome FF Fight music.

i hated it when the swirling splash effect gone missing after 302. tat's why i always use 302 plugin. since in 310oea2, i lost the splash, but now no more. it's back.
i never really like to change my xmb icon the way it already has. i prefer original icon with modified wave. looks clean yet nice to me. 1 more thing. 310 pops enhancement is always better than 302 - 303. since alex gave us the backward compatibility plugin for "FREE", wat the hack is wrong with u. not happy dun use...simple
game.dax already has problem emulating the speed coz it 3rd level of compression. what about 7zip? dude it can never achieve playable speed coz it's being compressed far more level deeper than .dax file.
Which Popstation version did you use to convert them in the first place? If you used the popstation from 3.02 then they won't work in 3.10. You need to redo them with the popstation from 3.03. I got my PSX games working fine but they were done using 3.03

I'm running 3.10 OE-A and my PSP won't LuaPlayer or any homebrew games or apps. It just says "The game could not be started (8002014C)". Does anyone know why it isn't working ?

ok, here's the instructions, its pretty easy once u get it right
with pbp unpacker, take out the pbp file from the updater eboot
put it in the root of your memory stick
next download the 310 psar dumper and run it.
the rest is self explanitory. (dont froget to rename the files u get from the psar dump

okay i added this to my 3.10 OE-A and used easy installer and the manual install, and apon launching my FF7 game from XMB it just left me with an image of my custom wave, and sat there and sat there so i have had to coldboot psp and restor my back up of my flash1 and flash0 and MS root, and still now pops dont work at all !
you dont need this if your a n00b:P just use the default popstation player. Put the SotN and FFVII eboots in the GAME folder in thier respective folders

I've played through FF9 on the PSP and din't experience any freezing in FMVs... I didn't experience freezings at all

at psp-hacks.com there is an auto installer that even lets you choose which pops version to run a psx game.
right now i'm on 3.10 OE-A' playing FF IVV on the 3.01 pops w/ battle swirl

I can get this to work with 3.11 dumped, but when I dump 3.02 and run this it says CANT START GAME, unless I use 3.11.
Everytime I want to start a game it says "This game cannot be started. The data is corrupted" But it's definitely NOT corrupted, because the game worked on 3.03 OE-C. It also doesn't ask me which pops i want to use.
What do I have to do? The plugin is enabled and I put all prx in the right place!

hey i was wandering why we have to downgrade all the way to 1.5 before we can start to upgrade again .
I think if they did they would know all the reaping benefits. and make it easer to play roms and the other stuff.
