Dark AleX's Despertar del Cementerio v3 - PSP Slim screen support, 3.71 M33-2 installation |
Ó
Dark AleX has released a new updated version of the Despertar del Cementerio universal unbricker. This particular unbricker works for both the Slim and Fat models of Sony's PlayStation Portable handheld video game console.According to Dark AleX, this new update is mainly to support the PSP Slim's screen in the mixed 1.50/3.40 kernel used during recovery. This is also a pretty big step towards 1.50 kernel support in the PSP Slim since the main problem - the screen - is now fixed. Here's a full changelog:
- Coded a display driver that supports the psp slim screen in the mixed 1.50/3.40 kernel.
- The M33 installation will install 3.71 M33-2, not 3.71 M33

I don't suppose you are working on a Non-Pandora way to get homebrew on the Slim, are you? A lot of us would be eternally grateful for that.
Again, great work, man.

i restored default settings, and made another magic stick. this time 3.71 official installed last time flash1 was screwed up so it would freeze right after the cold boot.

PSP games, PS1 Games, Movies, Pictures, music... ok perhaps you've figured that much out
now theres:
NES, SNES, N64, ATARI, Commodore 64, CPS2 and a few other arcade machines, Sega Genesis, a universal remote control...
no need to list more. You go ahead and get your crap from the playstation web site and do any of those things.
Go back to school? Heh... I probably graduated from school before you were born, dip *****

and Drake... about this "you dont know what i did at playstation" I know you're too young and stupid to have ever worked for SONY Because, again, anyone with half a brain who actually worked there would say "you have no idea what I do at Sony!" Not at Playstation. Playstation is not a place... lol And... a Sony employee wouldn't admit on an open forum to having homebrew on his/her PSP.. or since you said "what I DID at playstation", perhaps you did work there but were so stupid they had to fire you.

3.71 M33-2 is DIFFERENT from official firmware. It allows the ability to run unsigned code, homebrew (as in, games made by the PSP fanbase), ISOs, plugins, theme customization and XMB hacks, and many more things. It's way better than official firmware will ever be. So stop preaching about how official firmware is better, because in the homebrew scene it will fall on deaf ears.

I had all these nice homebrew apps (PDA, PSPoste, pikey) running on 3.52 and they don't seem to work under 3.71 now. I can't figure out any way to downgrade back to 3.52.
Thanks!

so i've now taken your first approach and used regular pandora to get back to 3.52. The only tricky part was that my regular memory stick was still formatted for 3.71 so it wouldn't boot. I had to copy the m33 3.52 creator from the recovery memory stick and run it again for that memory stick.

In the readme it says:
- Now you have an universal pandora ms ready to go, and you just need a proper battery.
I just want to confirm that you dont need a hacked battery.
Thanks.
