not really a screenie, just something spooky red, to stay in the spirit

Developer, weltall, says that this CWCheat is for Dark Alex's 2.71SE B custom firmware. He says that it should work fine with 2.71SE without the presence of DevHook and with all functionality intact.  weltall also ads that loading without DevHook allows you to avoid the game exiting crash.

It has all the functionalities of CWCheat 0.1.6, so you should be able to cheat in your games. Also, you will be able to change the CPU clock in game whenever you want it, without having to reflash all the time. You can put a default cpu/bus clock that will be set when loading in the config file (change the cpu clock in the menu and save the config in the config menu). You can also use the remapsp to change the annoying button configuration of some games.

Installation - manual:
  1. make a reflash folder in the root of your memory stick and copy the included
  2. pspbtcnf_game.txt (if necessary change it accordingly)
  3. copy cwcheat.prx in an easy to access ms position
  4. startup an app to write to flash (eg: pspfiler)
  5. copy cwcheat.prx in the kn folder in flash0:/
  6. reboot your psp in recovery mode
  7. select Advanced
  8. select flash pspbycnf_game.txt(2.71) (BE EXTREMELY CAREFULL WHILE SELECTING THIS)
  9. select Back
  10. select exit
  11. enjoy
Installation - automatic:
  1. load the included installer (thanks to Cpasjuste for it) from the 1.50 GAME FOLDER
  2. press O
  3. enjoy
For more notes on installation and the what-to-dos and what-not-to-dos be sure to check out the readme file along with the archive. Alternatively, you can check out the forum release thread and see what weltall says about the App. Good work weltall!

you need to enter in hacker mode L+R+

by CanisLupus - 2006-10-31 10:11
» Nope

Yes, you do have to flash but as long as you have the AC in and a umd out then there is a very very very low(unless you have TA-82, but then you wouldn't even have SE if you had that.) chance of bricking. Though there is always a risk when bricking, it's usually low if it is known to work like 100% of the time.

» use auto

For some reason my games won't start when I have the cheat installed. UMD or ISO. Works normally when I uninstalle d it.

» Fantastic!

ok my PSP has everything; direct ISO loading, cheat ability, over clocking, 2.71 shininess with 1.5 home brew. My god when i got this 4 weeks ago for £100 i didn't think all this was going to come about :)

» Any problems with crashing?

I used the auto installer i can get it up and running. ive tried ultimate block party on memory stick and socom on umd and both crash the psp as soon as i turn on one cheat and hit return to game. am i the only one with this priblem? i used the cheat db from this download....

well it could be a bad code

by td - 2006-11-01 04:29
» good

nice news.

now to redo my 2.71 se-a by downgrading to 1.5 making a new data.dxar file which took 15mins for se-a and c what happens

by Bah - 2006-11-01 04:57
» Auto

I went with the auto install. Which I found kinda off odd since many people had no problems.

Yea, it could most likely be a bad code. Because I've heard socom isn't so good with codes. I don't know about block party but you could be selecting a bad code. Is this just with every code you try to select, or just 1 certain code on each one?

by kord65 - 2006-11-28 03:01
» downgrade or upgrade

Do you need to have a 1.50 firmware or can you use a 2.60 psp to autoinstall :|
