Custom Firmware Extender 1.4 - public release |
Ó
We recently posted an article reporting the release of Cpasjuste's Custom Firmware Extender 1.4. Our report showed off the new video capturing feature of the said PSP homebrew. Now we bring you another coverage this time dealing with the actual release of the program to the public. In case you missed our previous coverage, this software allows users to capture screenshots, record in-game videos, start and stop an ftpd server from the PSP menu, reset the PSP with a button while under the VSH, and more. Here are the other things that this program can do:
- Power off the PSP with a button while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO).
- Change the speed of the PSP CPU/FSB while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO).
- Start and stop Usb Mass Storage under the VSH (PSP Menu) while browsing.
- Set a default CPU/BUS speed at startup.
- Set Usb Mass Storage at startup.
- Configure your buttons mapping (combo button + your selected button).
- Enable brightness button to go to the max level
- Tested on M33 52-4 custom firmware.
- Fixed some bugs and probably added some.
- Capture folder for screenshots can now be set in the config file.
- Use the code from remotejoy by TyRaNiD @ ps2dev.org to record some in-game videos. All remotejoy functions are still available.

wooot video out works too so good job
I didnt see the video out option for this program. It wasnt in the features. What are you talking about. Otherwise pretty good program.
anyone can tell me what app I can use for this!? To convert sequences screen shots to one video! ? Thanks! This stuff its going to make now even easier to record a demonstration video on PSP!! COOOL!
I've yet to try this out yet but it looks very promising...
All I need is the video capture and max brightness but none the less a great application.
This is like a Pc output for the PSP, like the TV output for the PSP-2000, but this stuff its for a pc screen! U can see trougth the pc screen! And capture video( even if the video take like 500mb) But still I would be nice If theres an option for resize the window that U r seeing trougth pc to make it Bigger! And see better !And would be nice to do an audio output too that works with the video output (capture) And with the PSP motion port u can play car games and stear the wheel u dont have to look to the PSP screen U have to look to the pc screen now! Bigger it would be better! Thanks!
the usb driver ain't having none of it on Vista x64 :(
