Sony PlayStation Portable - Image 1Well, that was quick. Several hours after brethren released a proof-of-concept download of becus25's custom PSP firmware running on DevHook, the former (brethren) has just followed up with news that a fully functioning version is now ready for use.

This collaborative work by brethren and becus25 is the PSP Custom Firmware 1.62 IE-D Update 2 adapted for use with DevHook. This firmware should have all the functions it was last reported to carry, although we (as always) advise prospective users to view the readme file for important instructions. That's all for the moment - stick around in case these two devs come back with another update. Enjoy the download!

For those who wanted DAX ISO on devhook (Becus firmware)...

I wonder if dax could implement DAX loading now that there is more room available (F2 and F3). Or he could see how Becus got it working.

This firmware takes less space because Becus's firmware is edited directly off 1.5, if I'm not mistaken, DAX's firmware has a LOT more stuff in it, it includes many elements of 1.5 and 3.x which is much larger than 1.5.
