Custom Firmware 1.62 IE-C

Without a doubt, DAX's take on various PlayStation Portable (PSP) firmwares is really excellent work. But in case some of you want to try something different, homebrew developer becus25 also makes custom firmwares for the homebrew community. In fact, he just came up with a new release.

There were a couple of issues found in the last release and becus25 is very happy to say that these have been resolved now. There are only a few changes with Custom Firmware 1.62 IE-C, but as you all know in terms of updates, it's always been quality over quantity. The complete changelog reads:

Total Compatibility with two recoveries. If flock one, loads the other.
If flock of flash0 the file "vshmain_real.prx" you will be able to be acceded igniting the PSP and pressing SELECT to a special menu that will allow you to connect the PSP by usb,
To write in flash0 "vshmain.prx official" of firmware 1.50 and to write in flash0 "recovery.elf" to recover the PSP of possible brick.

Take note that you should be on Sony's FW 1.5 before installing this. The download has an accompanying Readme file which should be read first for installation guide and other pertinent matters.

that we have Custom Firmware fan boys? If so, the video game community is going to tear itself apart. Games are games, who ares if its Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, etc...if you enjoy playing it, just play if. If you don't like another system, keep your mouth shut are realize that you're not the only person in this world...different people like different things.

OE: functions of a 3.00+ psp, but with kernal and extras.

IE: 1.50 functions, more flash0 space, more customization.

nice release i wasnt to sure about using this as ive enjoyed psone emulation but i dont really use that anymore so i installed this (i was on 3.30OE) and im really pleased..

its seems like every thread i see on this site is taken up with atleast half of the posts being about the post, or flamers, or first posters....

seriously, telling the first posters off or similar is just as bad.... in my books anyway.

just let them be, people with decent opinions will still post!

btw, im going to try this one out, but im an OE guy. But i do believe someone will make an 1.5 firmware that will rival it soon..

what is this? custom firmwares, custom firmwares.. i dont use any of them! all i needed was gameboy advance emulator that i got for the 1.5 and all kinds of emulators for 1.5, and dev-hook, but why the 3.30 O-E and whatever, i want to play on emulator and my psp games, i also want to play ps1 games, does there exist an !WORKING! ps1 emulator for firmware 1.5? ..i dont need sound, and it may be slow.. but i just wanna play kknd, resident evil 3 and duke nukem time to kill on my psp.. thats all i wanted on this site, also i love the n64 emulator, i hope it will be at full speed and working all roms one day..

than you should update to 3.30-oe-a because it well have every thing you want and devhook well be obseleate unless you plan on using location free player. It has the all the ability that dev hook has plus the 1.5 future and most of all ps1 emulator with full speed. The update for cfw is very ezy and safe with no chance of bricking.

I used this and I started it again and I got VSHMAIN.prx corrupted, please restart the psp and press select. Can some one tell me how to fix it or is it bricked.

hi i loaded 1.62ie-c update 3 on to my psp and evertimr i boot it up it says that its corrupt can anyone give me a link to get a recovery file PLEASE
