Coverflow - album covers for your MP3 files - Image 1

Homebrew developer sony_psp_player dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released a new LUA program dubbed as Coverflow. This particular release makes your music listening experience on the PlayStation Portable a bit more pleasing.

According to the owner, this program allows users to display a cover picture of the band that is currently playing on the Sony handheld. However, there are several considerations to make when using Coverflow:
  • Your music goes to MP3 folder and album art goes to the cover folder.
  • The MP3 and the .PNG have to have the same name (eg. song.mp3-song.png) and the PNG has to be either 32x32 or 64x64.
  • If it is bigger, the application will be slow and if it is smaller it isn't very funny to look at the image.
As it currently stands, Coverflow is looking great already. But if you find some problems and features that need to be added, you can help the coder by informing him via the comment section below.

If only it was as good as coverflow on an iPod Touch or iPhone!

Nice to see people attempting this but unless it's given the ease of use and convenience of them devices it just won't get used. Needs to be built into the OS.

I don't know what you mean. I have all covers of my MP3's in my XMB menu. I update my MP3 library information over the Windows Media Player(LOL, yeah I use it XD) and then I copy the whole folder to the PSP. I don't know why but it works just fine. Probably because it copies the hidden *.png's together with the MP3's...
