Control Tester v.5 for PSP

pspEvery homebrew app has a story behind it and for Control Tester v.5 this is developer Johnny McKinney's tale:

"I always go tired of going to play any of my games (mainly Syphon Filter) and noticing something was up with my controls. So I made this to test to see if anything was wrong with the controls (mainly the R and L trigger) so that just in case I could take my PSP back and get a new one."

Now that you know the story, get to know the app. Control Tester v5 is a Lua application which tells you what buttons are being pressed. If the "R" button is being pressed, the app will indicate it. If the app tells you a button is locked and you still got warranty, you can take it to the PSP doctor right away. If the warranty on your PSP has expired, then feel free to open it and wreck it some more! That was a joke by the way. If you know nothing about your PSP's electronic guts, never tamper with it.

Control Tester v.5 has some issues which Johnny plans to fix with the next update, and these are:
  • Fix analog detection
  • Add menu
  • Add exit instead of through Home
If you got other suggestions for Johnny feel free to post them in the thread in the QJ forums. And read the readme please file before installing this or any other applications.

Yes. I taught myself through a tutorial, but no I got friends to help me like Pat to help me with the coding issues I have. I didn't copy and paste I used the tutorials memorised typed my own peace changed around and got help from pat. Also thats what tutoials are there for is to help you create programs, you use bits and pieces remix scramble around and make it look neat. before you no it you got your program. I used a few pieces, made up my own and asked pat for help, I am working with someone now he's helping with the joystick movements.

No. You have done a good job.

You have just placed into the steps of homebrew

developing scene.

Good.Keep it up. Its not the matter of what you

have done. Its your effort . Atleast you made an attempt.

Ok. Bye

cheers.

Ahh mr johns.

Its funny how just a week or 2 ago you didnt even know anything about the psp, and now this.

its cool you are doing something somewhat positive (finally) but you still are a copy cat. and YES, you did copy and paste.

John CANNOT be trusted, is a fact. its nice to see you trying to do things on your own, and not trying to FULLY reap the benifit of others creations. well...take that back...copy and paste. whoops.

BTW everyone, as much trouble this kid has givin me, you should all know that he wished for "my 11 month old son to get in a car crash and die, then burn in hell"

Sorry, but i wouldnt download ***** from this guy, even if its on QJ. hes known for attempting virus attacks on many people. and manipulating his way thru psp sites just so he can gain popularity and then screw the site however he can.

IF, john, you are trying to be more positive and help people, then good job.

IF you are still up to you trouble making deeds, F*ck off.

Now well I'm all for new devs joining the homebrew scene, and have nothing against someone starting out making basic programs, I really do not think this is homepage material.
