Coldbirds' own little Nameless Mod of Popstation |
Ó

Coldbirds' released a great app for those who can't stand the Bash/Command prompt. The biggest thing here is that it allows you to change the warning image loading screen - the one that says, in Coldbirds' own words, "Please read the Manual... blabla." He admits that it's actually only a simple Popstation mod, a source code if you will. Interestingly, he calls this mod "Coldbirds' own little Nameless Mod of Popstation."
What does it do? To sum things up, here are its features:
- Doesn't need BASE.PBP anymore...
- Allows for Loading-Image Exchange
- Allows Icon-Less EBOOTs
- Can Convert Games relying on Sub-channel and Audio-Track Data
- Is packed with the source code...

Very nice,I was wondering if this could be done a while back.(Enough with th "Im First" crap)
nice app but ****** tutorial.. no one probably knows how to install this.. SECONDSSSSSSS?
this seems like a nice popstation gui, but ive had enough of these gui/mod/utils.....wheres all the amazing homebrew games.....c'mon developers
YES 2ND PPPPPPPPPOOOOOO OOSSSSSS
TTTTTTTTTT
you have pleased the linux gods. thank you.
This mod looks good and all, but what we could really use is a mod that would allow better disc switching support between multi-disc games for the popstation PSX emulator. Not too many games give the option of saving before switching to the next disc in order to continue playing the game you are playing.
have no clue what it does
Either I didn't read everything or I am just stoopid but what is so new about this? PSP2PSX has allowed you to put your own "warning" image from day 1.
so will this help with RE 2 or what?
I notived that PSXPSP can do the warning screen thing but I couldnt seem to find anywhere where people were releasing custom warning loading screens. Is there a place that Í've missed?
1st post
you can put any image it doesnt have to be a warning screen
Okay Guys... Some Peaple dont get what this even is...
@firyice: This is no GUI man... -.- Its a Popstation Mod... it was ment to finally have all the Stuff the GUIs had for a long Time... yet be independend from such GUIs... its fully Bash... and can finally do everything you previously needed GUIs for...
Also you no longer need to have a BASE.PBP to convert your Games... KEYS.BIN is still needed, as it contains ur unique Licence Codes, that verify that u are legally using PSX Emulation on PSP...
@linux: Yeah... it was what I was attempting aswell... also, the Windows Binary was compiled by weltall (thanks man - you pleased the windows noobs)
@Just Me: I can't do anything of that sort until I get a Hand on a Dual-Disc Official EBOOT... so I can do some Investigations what Sony changed... And even If I did... Im sure Dark_Alex would be faster to implement it into his popstation...
Not minding who gets it done first, I will update this Source with the needed Changes at some Point.
@anonymous: No, the Support Stays the same... and always will until Sony improves their pops.prx (Main Executeable)
------
Im used to Noobs not understanding my Work or something... And therefore I ignore 99% of stupid noob messages ranging from stuff like "omg - gui already has that..." to "omgzor - it doesnt have this / that - you suck"
If someone got a REAL question... or request or simply needs help or something of that like... feel free to contact me
its nice to see these apps still being made,
but 2 points
1) i've been able to change warning screens for ages (i use psx2psp)
2) if it doesn't use base.pbp does that mean it includes illegal files??
Is there any possibility to use full colour images as LOGO.png
and why does it have to be grayscale?
You are an idiot....
Not enough devs take the time to respond to comments on their work. Granted, they shouldn't and don't have to, but it's nice to see a level of community involvement.
Thanks Coldbird, your work is appreciated.
If you can burn a working PSX cd from an standard ISO wouldn't it be possible? Doesn't the ISO have any information on where to put the CDDA tracks?
I am sick of all the bad scene releases without CDDA tracks playing.. many of them claiming to be proper and putting down other releases even... very sad. I have about 30 ISOS that I extracted from eboots, but no way of getting the CDDA to play without cue or ccd files.. ugg
