CIntro Modifier v2 out now |
Ó
We so don't want to go through this over again but for purposes of discussion, CIntro is is a small introduction sequence attached to a cracked software. Now, the modifier is an eboot that runs pmfPlayer.prx to play any PMF file on startup if enabled through firmware. With that already out of the way, homebrew developer Kando passed by our forums a while ago and released a new version of his CIntro Modifier. Aside from the many changes included in this release, the most important one is that the program now supports firmwares 3.02OE-B, 3.03OE-A, and 3.03OE-A' only.
Guys, the key here is the word "only." Using this with other firmwares will brick your handhelds. Here is the changelog for CIntro Modifier v2. If you don't know what this is all about, we suggest command that you study the readme files first. But for those of you who fully understand this, have fun!
Changelog:
- Updated Readme
- Added support for QJ's version 1 of CIntro
- Added support for 3.03OE-A and 3.03OE-A'
- Added better size detection of both the EBOOT.PBP and the vshmain.prx
- Added backup/restore-incompatibility checking.
- Added automatic deletion of flash1 wallpaper.
- Added automatic creation of a proper cintro v2. ini file if version 2 is detected (a copy of introcfg.ini is still required to be in MSROOT)

Thanks
Is it possible to just run it on boot from the memory without flashing it?
actually that was the original methode
Works perfectly, thanks for the mod, pal!
You will not see me using this program.....not ever again.
hells yase i cant wait to put my emeinem bootloader in dis muthfuggen P S P
Care to tell us why or are you trying to build some suspense?
Read the README before polluting forums after u bricked your handheld !
Indeed. Serious stupidity is needed to brick one's psp with this mod. Just read the instructions and evrythin will go awrite.
It corresponded to English since today though my site was a Japanese site.
A lot of information is disclosed every day.
Interesting one must come to see by all means.

I'm sorry in a comment not related to the article.
I couldn't agree more.!
this will work with ANY cIntro, Correct? cause i had the RSOD as my 2.71 SE-B cIntro and i like it and want it back XD
Because I bricked my psp using this...he dind't say it flashed the recovery, well at least now he says it. He said that it only flashed flash 1.
If the readme doesn't list any restrictions, yes. The CIntro itself is just a PMF file; those aren't firmware-specific.
Does anyone know whether this works with OE-B? The article doesn't mention it, but it was also released before the app was, so I don't know. I assume it would be, right?
YES it does work i just got done installing, just makesure you read the readme after installing, then do what it says but dont worry about changing the text in the .ini can post a vid if wanted
(taacoon@y-a-h-o-o.-c-o-m) without -. if you want vid of prof email me and put cintro in the subject
I had cIntro for SE-B and loved it and seriously miss my intro. oe-b isn't much different than oe-a' but I ain't gonna risk bricking my PSP for it. :-( I'll wait for official news that it works with 3.03oe-b.
if u think u hav 2 b stupid to brick ur psp, u dnt know wat u r talkin bout... v1 of this program didnt detect file size so if u flashed 2 big afile u brick ur psp... also itover writes ur recov so ur SOL
