pspbutYou can now swap buttons on fw 2.80! shaminpsp lets us change functions from O to X (where X becomes "confirm", while O becomes "cancel"), and X to O (where O becomes "confirm" and X becomes "cancel") after they've been modified.

To swap buttons from O to X, do the following:

1.Download Tiff Fonthacker
2.Download O to X
3.Copy both system.dreg and system.ireg to your MS.
4.Open your FONTHACKER folder in your photo.
5.Press O To Copy.
6.Your PSP restarts and it's done.

To swap buttons from X to O, these are the steps:

1.Download Tiff Fonthacker
2.Download X to O(Download Here)
3.Copy both system.dreg and system.ireg to your MS.
4.Open your FONTHACKER folder in your photo.
5.Press O To Copy.
6.Your PSP restarts and it's done.

Some of you guys may be wondering whether it's applicable on your PSP -- well, it does on Japanese PSPs. Great job, Shamin!

Two things: Will this work on 2.60 TA-082 and how do you do this if you already have the fonthacker installed?

by td - 2006-09-23 02:28
» nice

more and more priviledges comin to 2.xx users!

of course this will work on ta-082, it's only the firmwares 1.0-1.5 that won't work, sony has added xtra protection on ta-082.

and this installs fonthacker anyway... THE TIFF VERSION

I hope there is coming a background flasher so I can have a black background with wavey lines.

by FreePlay - 2006-09-23 02:38
» Oh, you might want to mention...

... that system.dreg contains all of your settings, and if you use FontHacker to copy SOMEONE ELSE'S to your PSP, you'll lose all your settings, network setups, passwords, etc.

I have the Japanese PSP, just swapped the O to X button. If a 2.80 downgrader ever releases.. or if I updated.

Would the O to X still be there?

by guy blahson - 2006-09-23 08:13
» @#14

yeah a background flasher would kick ass! i hope someone makes one

by Anonymous - 2006-09-23 08:30

This is not useless guys. Some people buy their PSP from other places and they may not like the buttons switched, so they just need to use this simply hack to have it changed!

Just because you don't need it, it doesn't mean NOBODY needs it.

by Jeroen - 2006-09-23 08:40
» nice

nice! cmon with downgrader :)

@ 21 Yeah, I have the same problem to, It say's there's a problem in het registry and that you have to press O to restore default settings. But when I boot directly to the umd game and press home, I have to confirm with O. As soon as I get in the main menu it prompts the same screen again.... Does someone have an idea? I own a eu psp (not ta-082).

MS is " MEMORY STICK " or the "ROOT OF THE MS"

Unzip the " O to X " and place those two files onto the root of the memory stick.

Unzip all the Font Hack and put just one folder into PSP/PHOTO that folder is " fonthack "

now disconnect the USB and go to PHOTO highlight " fonthack " hit the START button. and hit O to copy those files. and whaala!
