Ó
Carlos and Edward have updated their popular homebrew PDF and text file reader to version 0.7.1, adding bug fixes and a new feature that Korean and Japanese readers will be pleased to hear about whilst increasing stability and fixing a few notorious memory leaks. Bookr is a document reader for the PSP that currently supports plan text (.txt) PDF, and new for this release, text-only basic HTML files. Here's a rundown of all the improvements you can find in this release:
- Added support for PDF files with Chinese, Japanese and Korean text
- Added a memory usage counter
- Added single line scroll for the analog pad in the text viewer
- Bookr will now try to block images from loading in PDF files when it is running low on memory
- Fixed many memory leaks in the image loader for PDF files. Bookr can load and display PDF files with more images than before.
- Fixed memory leaks releasing the PDF viewer singleton Restored full page scroll with cursor buttons
- Fixed font corruption for large font sizes in the text viewer
- Fixed page positions in the text viewer after changing the font size and/or font rotation. Bookmarks for text files are not compatible with older releases.

YES! I was first!!
Nifty.
Dumb @$$ #2 cant you see I was first ?
This is an amazing program. Nice simple graphics, lots of options and it works perfectly.
Not a lot of new stuff to it, but still one of the best homebrews in my opinion.
This is one of my favorites. Glad to see it get a little update.
Cool. I didn't know this could read PDF files :-) Great homebrew ;-)
2 Excellent Homebrew updates in 2 days! ps. props to #1 for not being ghey and saying 1st post like some kids might. cough#2cough..
Could someone make this work on iRShell?
I think you only have to convert it to a 1.00 Eboot and you'll be set :-) ...I think.....
for me, 0.6x is still better than this version. because i can zoom to a much larger font and fit width. with 0.7x, it uses too much whitespace or margin on the left or right, and if you try to zoom and adjust using the left and d-pad buttons, you just cant because it jumps like half an inch when moving the text.
why did the blogger post such a scary ass picture if i had never used bookr before, with that freaky face in the pic, i dont think id ever even look into it
One of the best homebrews out! Keep the updates coming
thanks for the update, having .pdf capabilities really helps!
WHERE IS MY IRSHELL PLUGIN?????????????
will this work with 2.6 fw gta eloader ?
THX! i can't appreciate how much this application helps! being a student and not using the psp lately (too lazy to install cough cough isoz) i can use this to get ahead on my readings... i just hope they fixed the really bad .pdf memory bug, kept crashing after 10pages with zoom~ otherwise it was stable for far longer... i wonder if .txt is better?... anyone else with experience?
oh yeah, real nice, we need Ir shell plugin lol
You can make it work with IRshell, you simply replace the IRSHELL eboot file in one of the IRSHELL folders (i forgot which one, go look for it yourself) But anyways, WOOHOO!!! BookR is one of my favorite homebrews, and I'm so glad they fixed some of the memory problems!
Very Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
How come the supplied copy was very different from the one shown above?? :( I thought I saw what I got!!
You exactly got what you saw, a pdf/txt file reader. The above picture show a NVidia pdf document being read with the program...
Thanks. Just figure it out. Must press the "Select" button to get the screen and it will shown as above.
look at the cool guy. he goes to parties and get drunk. wooow sooo cooool. he says he only goes on here for VCS but then he post a comment in the Bookr thread. Face it kid, stop being FAKE. U FRAUD. you don't party or know any hot girls. and you are not cool. thanks!
lmao yea that picture is of Nvidia's GeForce 6 series mascot. Anyway, it's good to see bookr still being updated I can't wait to try this one out and I look forward to all future updates!
