PSP homebrew - Image 1Homebrew developer Art seems to be on a roll these days, what with one interesting homebrew release after another. This time, he has revealed Blabberbot, an experimental PSP app that actually reads your text files for you.

The Blabberbot text to speech program is based on the Festival Lite (Flite) speech engine. one cool thing about it is that Art has added a feature where users can seek forward and backward through a text file while the app's speech function is in progress. You can find out more in the readme file.

This is version 1 - and it IS experimental - so there's bound to be a few bugs here and there. If you spot any, feel free to report them to the dev on the QJ.NET PSP Development forum, accessible via the Visit link below.

I made it read the IR Shell Release Notes.

There's a part in the notes where they use "=" signs to separate two sections.

This programs just read equalsequalsequ alsequalsequals equ alsequals etc. which I found pretty humorous. :)

WOW! This is a great app. It's just like Loquendo. Awesome app for the PSP. Would be great to see this app in Spanish as well. :)
