Sony PSP Battery Pack - Image 1Just a few days ago, homebrew developer placo23 released a very useful application, BatteryInfo, that lets PSP users check in on the battery status of their handhelds more effectively and accurately. Well, BatteryInfo is already updated (that was fast!), with some fixes that further enhances the user experience for this handy application. Here's the changelog for your perusal:

CHANGELOG:

- Updated the font and background, now it looks like the default PSP XMB font
- Fixed the bug when the PSP has no battery to display a message instead of a huge negative number
- More compatibility with other applications
- Uses less memory resources

You can download the application from the link below, and more information can be found in the Readme link. Enjoy!

oh!

I just thought of something... why not make batteryinfo tell you if a battery is fake/unpandorable/patched? I mean, just have it try to access the eeprom, and if it receives that weird "Error at 0x91" thingy, then the batteryinfo can say "Oh noes, you've been scammed!"

...also....

...include the ability to tell the condition of the Li battery. In otherword, the life, the remaining full charge capacity for the battery. Even more the ability to tell time vs. power draw for the geeks in us...so we know what functions suck up the most juice... ...that would be cool. Otherwise...cool app.
