ATPSP v3.0 Released! |
Ó

Bawls (also known as realn0whereman) from our forums has released version 3 of his ATPSP anti-theft tool for the PSP. ATPSP allows you to track your PSP online via an email that is sent to you at a specified address every time the PSP is connected via USB. The email includes the thief's browser, IP address and Windows version, which you can contact a law enforcement agency in order to track the thief via these details.
Along with customizable icons and PSP titles that were included in ATPSP v2.0, this version adds a netsend popup, telling every PC on your network that a person on this network has stole your PSP, pretty much forcing them to own up! Full instructions on how to set up ATPSP v3.0 can be found in the readme and at the download link. I would post the instructions here, but frankly they're too long. ATPSP is easy and quick to set up, but the instructions are quite thorough. This uses your computer as a base to send the email, so PSP firmware versions are irrelevant! You can even use this on firmware 2.71!

That would be the FUNNIEST thing if someone in an office stole a PSP and then next thing you know theres a popup on every single computer:
"I stole your PSP"
LMAO! my old school had a big computer lab, i remember using netsend to cheat on tests and *****, that was the best.
i just have to get some numbers on this...
how often does a person who steals a psp hook it up to a computer? and if most people do; what if they dont have internet connected when they hook up the psp to it? What if the email gets sent from china? will you tell the police a chinese guy stole your psp and hes at home now? what would the cops do about it?
if you are dumb enough to let someone take your psp then you just dont deserve one,and if you lose your psp you should be institutionaliz ed.
What if someone who goes to your school or live right by you steals you PSP? What if they DO have internet?
What if soemoen robs your house and steals your PSP alogn with your TV, steroa systems, DVRs, etc.? This coudl actually help trakc them.
A couple files that are under 500kb dotn hurt anything and can ONLY help in any case. Youre an idiot if you think this si totally useless.
And no1 LETS someone take their PSP. What if someone robs your house, Do you not deserve a house? or the stuff they stole form you?
What if somebody just looks at this website and types the thing into My Computer....
Then the program won't email you..
how do i installit
the browser and windows version. yeah, this is sure to help you track down your thief.
ip address's commonly change, especially people on a cable modem (many).
how do i install it
good one raiderx!
nice app, gonna try it now.. im going to steal my own psp... yeah... and see if it emails me that I stole my psp.... so i can tell the police i stole my psp, then the police is going to arrest me and take my psp back from me and give it to me, so i can laugh at my self for being too stupid to steal my psp...... wait.... what? what are we talking about? yeah.... im going to go take a cold shower now...
NOT! lol but im going to test this... sounds really cool,
haha what if a frigging serial killer was on the run and decided to steal someone's psp that have this app? and then heconnected it to his computer in mexico... bam, FBIs all over the place, hes busted... man he would feel stupid
an anti theft program that doesn't actually prevent theft, lol
if anything, it should be called psp lo-jack or something.
Anyone could have their PSP Stolen. Welcome to the real world. This might help if that happens. Therefore it is a useful and sensible application. Unfortunately useful and sensible does not describe the majority of the comments on these boards.. therefore the app does not get the props it deserves.. oh well..
i agree with number 17, not about the stupid part, but the part that it isnt anti-theft. its like, get-back-after-theft-and-tell-da-po-po's
lol, thats actually a real word if you look it up
jk
i also agtee with RaiderX and nubblet
go them
also i agree with myself, go me!
You're stupid fool, shut up if you aren't going to make use of the program. I'm going to steal your psp if we ever cross paths, and you won't even know I did it.
Anyways, this program is ownage :). I'm going to use this.
now if i steal a psp i know to format the memory card before i plug it in...
What do i have to do after i made all the adjustments ? I mean where do i put all the files ?
The theft have Mac or Linux

Anyways...
The problem:
You can imunize a computer from this!
The solution:
Edit the variable an value to something unique, like this:
variable name=PSP
variable value=AB1234567(serial number)
or
variable name=My device
variable value=PSP1004K
This should do the job!
Is there's a way to lock the Memory Stick if the Thief want to format the memory stick without getting caught?
well think of it like this Cao... if my psp goes missing i kinda know who took it now that you told me you were gonna take it right?
besides that my ip rolls sorta... its almost never the same. so even if i did put this on my psp it wouldnt help if it got stolen. i also keep my psp on my person at all times in my pocket so if someone could magically get this massive thing out of my pocket without me knowing then they deserve it. I say this because that would take a lot of skill to pickpocket, because if i suddenly didnt feel a lot of weight in my pocket i would know it was taken and easily chase after the theif. Unless u live in some run down ghetto where your house get broken into all the time then you have almost no reason to put this on your psp,and if you do live in a bad area then you dont deserve a psp; you should be saving money to move to a better neigborhood where you dont have to worry about someone stealing your psp. Not only that the cops only have jurisdiction in your city or county(cant remember which) and if u called and said someone stole your psp they couldnt do a **** thing about it. even if u had this on your psp they wouldnt be able to do ****.
If someone stole your psp they would most likey play it, take out the memory stick and sell both the psp and the ms, or sell the memory stick and buy a new one thats smaller or bigger.btw i did not say that this is totally pointless. This program at the least only gives a false sense of security. For people whos ip stays the same it could work but cops cant do much about it, and how many people who dont have psps have something to connect it to a computer? Most people i know say that the psp is crap and not worth it and all there is where i live are petty theifs who steal from unlocked cars at night. so i am safe unless Cao comes in my house right now and puts a gun to my head or something and takes my psp.
Also btw calling someone stupid is a very good way to show your own intelligence and maturity. i will take my chances.
you cant lock a memory stick... you can lock an sd memory stick that is used in cell phones, cameras, and other stuff. you can lock floppy disks. but...
no memory stick can be locked.(at least not a lock takes time to open)it literally takes 2 seconds to unlock a memory card/stick or a floppy disk.(im just talking about common things)
you could put all the folders on your ms into and encrypted folder or something but then they wouldnt show up on the psp or work when connected to something.
So where do you put all the files?
Yeah i asked for that either some posts ago...an answer would be very nice...
I am not a regular on this site. After reading through these posts, I probably never will be. You guys need to grow up.
People around the web are laughing at you guys. The majority of this sites members are rude, ungrateful, snot-nosed teens. Is this any way to thank the creator of this app? You guys have a rep on this site for being a bunch of idiots, and so far you've proved it...
Nobody subscribe to the above PSP Blender ad. I subscribed months ago, and these ppl are a scam.
