AFKIM: Instant Messenger for PSP v3.3.5 - Image 1Developer Zx-81 visited the QJ.NET Forums earlier to announce that Danzel has released AFKIM v3.3.5 for the PlayStation Portable. AFKIM, in case you're asking, is actually short for Away From the Keyboard Instant Messenger.

This new build is specifically for the guys who've just updated to Team M33's custom firmware 4.01 and are using PSP Slims. Version 3.3.5 addresses a bug which prevented AFKIM from displaying its text properly. Those using an older version than CFW 4.01 or a PSP Fat won't need to download this update.

Full details on installing and running this application on your PSP are available in the file bundle's readme. You may also want to visit ZX-81's Homebrew Releases forum in case you're interested in leaving your feedback.

this fix works for me, but it seems that one still encountered graphical glitches with this version ... It's a bug that appears in the SDL library with alpha blending stuff ... work still remain to fix it definitively,

» dude

this has never worked for me. i put in a username and password, then it just says "connect error". it's done that to me on every version i've ever tried... anyone know how to fix it?

you can try to connect to bitlbee using any IRC client and create a new account. Then you can edit the bitlbee.cfg file in the afkim folder and using wordpad to write :

im.bitlbee.org

your_bitlbee_lo gin

your_bitlbee_pa ssword

For those who still encountered gfx glitches, you may find another version on my blog : http://zx81.zx81.free.fr/
