A fresh, new start for PSPRadio |

So, what's new with homebrew developer Raf and his kick ass PSPRadio? Well, Raf decided to re-release PSPRadio v0.38.12 and renamed it PSPRadio v1.1.1258. It's not a simple re-launch though as he tweaked some important things.
First, he revealed that this is a new start for this app as he plans to gear it towards a different direction. He didn't specifically mentioned what direction exactly but he did say that all releases from now on are for firmwares 2 and above with OE. The first version was tested on 3.03 B. Here are some more of the changes included in this re-launched version:
New features
- Core: Version number is now 1.1.XXXX, where XXXX is the subversion revision at the time of the build.
- Core: Modified Makefile targets. No more static/dynamic versions. Only Dynamic, for f/w 2.0+ (OE F/W).
- Core: Modules can be loaded, but unloading causes a crash
- Core: USB is not working (help is appreciated)
Sounds like a lot of problems? Don't fret because Raf knows this perfectly well and this version is actually a WIP. In case you are still interested and wants to be one of the firsts to try PSPRadio anew, the download link is provided below.

i think i would use psp radio more if you could use it as a plugin through oe instead of a single application.

It doesn't seem to work. Just keeps saying "Error starting network" when I try to init wi-fi.
yep same for me, i hope it is just a bug that will be fixed for the next version, for now i am just going to use 0.38.12
to bad i cant get it my psp bricked while upgrading to 3.10 oea

getting same problem "error starting network" when trying to start wifi, running fw 3.10oe and wifi with no security
figured out why no wifi, pspradio needs to be in GAME310 folder...run under 3.10 kernel, not 1.50 kernel

Done it but still have problem with WiFI.
OK...so this is striking my interest. I am an avid 92.3 Free FM listener at work. Turns out my new firm has wireless throughout the entire office. Now, I love listening at my desk, but while on the move, I can't listen. What radio does this pickup? Can I go to a site with an FM audio stream on it and listen? I tired using my link at work that I use to open up the player. My PSP went to the link, but the radio wasn't playing. If anyone can help me with this, I will be happy to help you. I can send / mediafire / send space some cool stuff for a thanks!! Any help is appreciated! -Bildo818-

THE OLD PSPRADIO WORKS FINE WITH ALL THE CUSTOM FIRMWARE I USE IT ALL THE TIME WHY CHANGE IT?????????????????????????? THIS AND PIMPSTREAMER MY 2 FAVORITE HOMEBREW JUST LEAVE THEM AS THEY ARE GUYS STOP *****ING WITH THEM

wow i this is one of the greatest homebrew programs for psp, i tried it out for my first time today. my psp is a psx, snes, gen, and a gba emu. Its a universal remote control, movie and music player, web browser, and now a radio !! theres nothing on the market that could even come close to that many features. Long live psp!! Keep up the great work!!

How is it possible to run homebrew under 3.10 kernal unless an exploit was found in 3.10??
Connects to Wi-Fi, but doesn't connect to any streams or anything.. "could not resolve host" wtf?

Nope, only shoutcast streams work with this, not FM, AM, XM or Sirius... And KRock was much better anyway... blah stupid talk radio replacing music made me buy satellite

Same problem here also, never got this thing working with dynamic or static connection applications..
If you're having problems connecting to a host then go into the settings menu and select the "Get Latest SHOUTcast DB" option. That should fix your problems. I like the plugin idea, I would also like to see this download a full, unaltered SHOUTcast DB.

this is a great app i love it
there is tetris in Pspradio, and u can play music while playing it. but not on anything else

i resolved the host problem by placing the program out of the game150 and into the game310 folder... now it says ip ready, and seems to connect to my accesspoint fine. however, when i choose to download "get latest SHOUTcast DB" option it freezes the entire app and doesnt download, this leaves the .xmb file destroyed and i have to replace it with the preinstalled one, which gets a list of all the streams back. but whenever i choose to play a stream it says unresolved host and i go into options and have to reset the ip and go right back to the playlists, then i choose a stream to play and it will always freeze up again and not play anything! it gets stuck saying "opening stream".... WTF?
i have same problem... maybe because of WPA-secure?... no idea...
I lost my neighbor's unsecured WiFi recently... When I found out about this proggre I went out and bought a wireless router just to use it. HEHE. AWESOME program once you get it working!
As soon as I try to use a manual IP address PSP Radio refuses to work (web browser still works ok). Set to easy settings on the IP address and everything works ok.
I don't get it... how can homebrew be run under 3.XX kernel? If this works for everything, I think all homebrew should be converted for use under 3.XX kernel, because I'd love to be able to use my irsmp3.prx plugin during homebrew, but it's kinda pointless during PSPRadio when I can play music anyways, but I wanna use this for other homebrew like gpSP and SNES9X emulator, how can I make THOSE run on 3.XX kernel?
