3.03 OE-A Easy Version Changer Beta |

Coders have been coming up with all these homebrew "changer" apps lately which allow you to, well, change various things in your PSP. We have gracz54's PSP Mac Address Changer, and there's also Aserto's PSX GameID Changer.And now, to add to that ever-changing list of changer apps, here's another one from Dabomstew which will allow you to change the version displayed in 3.03 OE-A system settings without hexediting or manual flashing.
Usage Instructions:
- Check that your psp is on firmware version 3.03 OE-A by Dark_AleX. If it isn't, you cannot use this app.
- Connect your psp to your pc via usb. Then copy the vc folder supplied to X:PSPGAME150 (where X is the drive letter of your psp).
- Disconnect USB and run the version changer like you would any homebrew app, and follow the onscreen instructions.
I was able to update 3.02 OE-B to 3.03 OE-A with a custom version on 3.02 OE-B, but im not sure about the updaters to go to a new release on the same kernel eg 3.02 OE-A to 3.02 OE-B. I guess we'll see =P If it doesn't work, you can easily change your version back to default.
He also said that this worked fine on his 3.03 OE-A-donning PSP, but it's not guaranteed that it'll work 100% every time. If you encounter any problems with this app, please drop him a line in our forums so that he can update it but he says not to expect any more functionalities to be added. However, if Dark_AleX will come up with more versions of his custom firmware, he may bump up this app to include support for DAX's updates.

i think it lets u change ur firmware thing like 3.03 OE-A to like anthing like 9.99 seems worthless to me
Is this just so you look cool, or does it serve a purpose, because I am fine having it just make me look cool, but if it does more, then that I guess is just a bonus.
Lol.. So with this, I can make it look like I have version 0.01? :P Anyway... I see many brickings coming, since people can use this to say "Yeah, look, I have version #.## and *insert homebrew name* works with my firmware! No risk in bricking the PSP" and before you know it.. 10% of PSP owners sit there with bricked PSPs... Or maybe I'm wrong, you never know, lol.
I have used this and it's great. I have changed my firmware version from 3.03 OE-A to 3.04 HE-A. (Hombrew Edition). Yes I believe you could change it to 0.01. Or if you miss 2.80, 2.80 XE-A. (Xtreme Edition). lol.
yeweees!!! finnaly i've been waiting for somthing like this i thought xflash would have it now ik can change that ugly OE back to SE woohooo!!! :D:D:D

Yea, I sort of agree, and if you just know what you're doing (and it's quite easy) it's probably safer to do it with psp filer (just make sure to put it in kn and not kd, I helped a guy who had bricked that way...)

does this mean if we plug our psp in the ps3 it would recognize it as a psp

I must say this nifty app looks enjoyable thanx uploader and nah I won't use it but for you out there who need this 2 look cool go right ahead :-) ( said with an nifty undertone ) hahahha thanx again uploader keep up the good work
This won't affect anything, right? Like, when you're gonna update to a newer custom firmware and it screws up or something... This doesn't affect anything... right guys?
