Homebrew developer becus25 has really come a long way. We have to say that a handful of PSP users didn't have much faith in him when he first came up with his own custom firmwares. But becus25 kept on coding and kept on improving and this next release is the fruit of all those hardships.Known as 3.00 IE-A Update 1, this custom firmware is hybrid firmware in more ways than one because it incorporates features of FWs 3.00 (VSH/XMB) and 2.71 (kernel). Aside from that, it is also a marriage of IE and SE as it allows users to have two different recoveries. For the IE part, this version only includes the recovery for OE firmwares.
Anyway, there's quite an interesting possibility with this firmware that hasn't been exploited even by becus25 himself yet. Like we said, 3.00 IE-A comes with the kernel of 2.71. While the program doesn't come with the IRShell application, it can support it fully theoretically speaking.
We would definitely keep a close eye on this one because we believe that this custom firmware will just keep getting better and better. Nice work becus25! On a last note, please refer first to the file's Readme file before installing this on your PlayStation Portable unit.

keep your *****in' to yourselfs because nobody gives a rats ass whether you or others out there think it's acceptible or not.
The people whom only have valid statements to say are those whom PROVEN theirself to the public, others are just try hard rejects who leeches and gives nothing in return but their idiotic comments.

I currently have 3 PSPs: one has CF 3.03oe-c, one is just to go along with Sony official FWs and the third one had my favorite 1.5 FW (the best by far!! =) ) I installed your 3.00 IE-A on my 1.5 PSP and out of all my respect and honesty I love it! I still have not figured out how to use it fully as I am still exploring it, but I love the two recovery modes and the fact that this firmware has 2.71 kernel and 3.00. It's great and I really appreciate your work. I am no developer my self for the PSP (but I am very good with coding in C++). I just wanna say that you are talented in coding and thank you for this new custom firmware! I'll bet that it'll soon rival the DA CFs and more people will start using this. Trust me, you'll go far and strong as a PSP dev perhaps even making the best CF out there! This so far is great!
I do have a question however:
Most of the home brew i try to run does not work, is it because this CF only has 2.71 kernel along with 3.00? if so, I think it would be great if you somehow improved home brew compatibility. I tried playing No Gravity and running Daedalus on your 3.00 IE-A CF and they will not run and spit out the regular (game cannot be started) error.
Is there a way for me to run most home brew? (Running HEN perhaps?)
