USBHostFS and PSP Type B problems? Get a fix. |

Did your giant ninja robot just conk out again? How can you properly rule the world without a giant ninja robot to lay the smackdown on those invading aliens, right? Well, if your robot uses TA-082, kind of like your PSP, then you probably have some corrupted keys down there in the inner depths of your machine. That's probably a side-effect of the downgrader you used, and like we said, there was always a chance to brick that PSP to begin with.Thankfully, the guys at lan.st are on the case and have got something up to help you save your machines. They've come out with a fix for USBHostFS, which should restore your corrupted idstorage keys and get you up and running again. Now, since your keys are already corrupted, you don't really have to worry about bricking your PSP anymore.
Still, you'll want to check the readme to ensure that you do the fix correctly. If you want to get your ninja robot (and your PSP) up and running again, you'll definitely want to check the fix out. For now though, we'll opt not to host the file, so you'll have to visit lan.st to pick the fix up. As for questions, you can always ask at the forum link on QJ if you're feeling a bit jittery about applying a fix.
Oh, and for those of you who were wondering, don't worry. A revised version of the downgrader will be here soon enough. Just don't hassle the coders for it, as that probably would slow them down.
Now, can anyone tell me who would win in a fight? A giant ninja robot using a TA-082, or a giant pirate robot using TA-082?
Thanks to AsopTiFF for telling us about this.

btw: If a TA-082 upgrades to 3.03 OE, shouldn't the idstorage be non-corrupted?

please stop running out into the living room where your fat momma resides and asking her if that dumb crap is entertaining, look at me i cant spell worth a S but i bet i could do a way better job at reporting news.
heres a format:
1 name of the app
2 what it does
3 what firmware ect... it's for
4 other USEFULL information.

I went to the site and read around, and to me it says when the TA-082 downgrader downgrades, it changes the IDstorages areas that affect the USBhostfs and GPS capabilities of the psp. Now, us newly downgraded TA-082 psp's can't use USBhostfs or GPS because these areas of the IDstorage is "corrupted" basically, it won't work.
So in the end, if you want to use the USBhostfs (irshell, dehook iso/movie streaming from pc to psp through USB), or the GPS function of the psp, then you should get this fix. If you don't really care about either of those like me, then theres really no need to go through the hassle of fixing it (obtaining the correct IDstorage files from a 1.5 psp, and running the program).

OH AND ON THE TOPIC OF PIRATES. PIRATING IS LIKE CRACK, IF YOU ARE ATTACKING THE USERS AND THE SELLERS FOR DOING WHAT SOCIATY ALLOWS US TO DO THEN WHO'S THE FOOL: THE PERSON WHO ATTACKS THE USERS OR THE PERSON WHO RECOGNIZES THAT THE 1% WHO PROFITS AND MAKES THE RULES AND PROVIDES THE TOYS SHOULD BE ATTACKED? QJ NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE U CANT PROMOTE THE TOYS AND ACCUSE THE USER.... ITS BAD FOR BUSINESS!
