Ultimate VSH Menu - Image 1

After what he admits as "the worst release of Ultimate VSH Menu," Total_Noob is back with an update for Ultimate VSH Menu, complete with an apology for the crashes from the previous version.

This new v1.07 seeks to mend that with one big bulk of a changelog. This version is now bug free (which means if you're having problems with the previous v1.06, this is a must-download) and adds compatibility with a lot more of those useful plugins (also another big reason why it's a must-download!).

Changelog v1.07:
  • - Ultimate VSH Menu is now BUGFREE
  • - Added "ISO VIDEO MOUNT"
  • - Compatible with the plugin Game Categories
  • - Compatible with cxmb
  • - Compatible on psp slim
  • - Load recovery menu work now on all psp
  • - It don't move automatically more
  • - Don't hide Ultimate VSH Menu on PSP store
  • - If you use a ctf theme, the mac addresse don't show on Chinese
  • - Don't show the battery serial, if you've got a psp slim TA-88 or TA-85 v2
  • - It hook the vshctrl to hide M33 VSH Menu, so Ultimate VSH Menu work, if you have "Use VshMenu" on "enabled"
  • - Added on installer a uninstall function
Notes:
  • - It's ONLY for the CFW 5.00 M33-6!!!
  • - You need flash0:/vsh/resource/13-27.bmp to use slim colors on psp phat
  • - "LOAD EBOOT" is at /PSP/GAME/VSHMENU/EBOOT.PBP
  • - Sorry for my english, because I'm from Switzerland

ok i have the old vsh menu which is a prx, not 1.06, the one before that. this one is a eboot, so yeah i know it goes in psp/game, but then what , run the eboot and it installs a prx? do i have to take out my old vsh menu prx first or leave it in? will i have to always leave the eboot in my game folder ? just tryin to find out first so i can avoid screwin anything up.

Lockdown plugin compatability

erm hi, i wanted to use this but vshmenu 1.06 was having problems with the plugin lockdown pack 2. lockdown pack 2 is a program to enable password locking the boot of psp and the recovery menu, i have problems when i tried accessing the recovery menu. the screen is ruined black but i see the words enter password, there are keys auto typing.. o.O i hope this problem is resolved in this version before i wud try downloading it.

Lockdown and Ultimate VSH Menu Compatibility

I agree with spykid25. This should be addressed. Lockdown recovery protection install has you replace recovery.prx with Lockdowns recovery.prx and rename your recovery.prx to real_recovery.prx the Ultimate VSH Menu crashes due to it not searching for the real_recovery.prx string first. If it looked for that first, then if exists, load it, if not found go to recovery.prx and load. Seems simple enough of a fix. Due to it being a encrypted prx I can not patch this myself. So, Total_Noob it is up to you to make your fans happy, and put out another update for Lockdown compatibility. Update it, Pretty please. Good note: If you don't use the added recovery security and just the vshmenu.prx security there is no problems. Lockdown will work. Would like that added security myself though. It is simular to the above renaming but, instead you are renaming your vshmenu.prx to real_vshmenu.prx and using Lockdowns vshmenu.prx. For whatever reason it works wether total_noob made that compatible or if it is just loading before the plugin loads. So skykid25 that is the work around I have found for now. Love your work Total_Noob and thank you for the 1.07 update Can't wait for 1.08 with Lockdown compatibility. Fan, lovehate

Hmmm...

I thought the last release was completely bug free? 1.07 STILL won't even get me to the XMB, just like 1.06 before it. All I get is a black screen upon boot. Why this eboot install? I understand making it easier for new people, but if I can learn how to add a .prx to seplugins and then edit vsh.txt then there's no reason anyone else can't.

bug free?

i thought this now supported the game categories plugin? i dont see that in the screenshot or on my screen. it also doesnt load recovery menu on my slim (5.00 m33-6). all it does is freeze up then reboot itself.
