Ultimate VSH Menu - Image 1

One of the more popular downloads of late: Ultimate VSH Menu. Well, even though some of you out there are more than fine using the built-in VSH menu that comes with the various custom firmwares, there are still always some other people wanting more options.

It hasn't been a week yet since the previous version of Ultimate VSH Menu was released, and still, PSP homebrew developer Total_Noob has deemed it high time for another welcome update.

Changelog v1.02:
  • If UP, DOWN, LEFT or RIGHT long holds, it will be faster scrolled
  • Fixed a bug, that psp is sometimes lame
  • Config file is a little changed
  • Config loaded only once(no longer the whole time)
  • Red and green looks different now
  • Added PINK, BROWN, GRAY and YELLOW color
  • Added "HIDE MAC ADDRESS" to hide the mac address
  • Added "USE SLIM COLORS" to use the slim colors on phat
You can check out the readme for the full changelog history for this project - see what other cool stuff this little powerhouse can do. And remember, you can always drop by the forums for a quick word with Total_Noob.

when using this, it messes with Hold+. while listening to music (hold switch in use) the music will chop up. makes me sad :(

# Hold+ is supposed to that.locobrown 2009-01-18 06:57
@ Metal Jody

The music always chops when using Hold+. Having other active plugins activated in the background in conjunction with the Ultimate VSH Menu has nothing to do with it. The reason to this is that Hold+ underclocks the CPU, extending the lifetime of the battery. Changing tracks is the only time when you will notice sound regularities. If you allow the tracks to play sequentially, no sound chop occurs. This only happens when you change the tracks and it only occurs for about 1 second, but it doesn't affect audio play.

I love you updated the menu, but I still can't use it because I love the game_categories plug-in and will not give it up. Could you incorporate it to list it if the plug-in is loaded or build it into yours, collaborate with the other guy maybe.

Great work this is sweet.

Thank you for all your hard work.

Yup, actually, some people in the forums were wondering the same thing - asking if Total_Noob can incorporate Game Categories into Ultimate VSH Menu.

All we have to do is wait for Bubbletune - he's the developer of Game Categs. Already, he's planning to ("probably") release the source, and once he does that, Total_Noob can probably build it into Ultimate VSH Menu as well. ;-)

Always nice to see devs helping each other like this. Hehehe! The PSP scene is so wrought with drama, it's such a breather to see these guys coordinate with each other! ^_^

No, it doesn't. I have 4 plugins activated in vsh and Hold+ doesn't chop up. Ultimate VSH Menu has everything to do with it. My psp plays music fine even at 28 MHz (using M33 VSH clockspeed). No audio has ever chopped up.

Since there are three battery options, maybe he should he should put them in one category. It makes the VSH Menu build up...

Example: -Battery option Autoboot Battery -> Pandora Battery -> Normal Battery.

I have the same problem. Though I also have the problem using sleep n wake after hitting the snooze button. Its no big deal cause it gets me to get up and turn off snooze, then I'm awake. Though my main problem with it is since I have a flash 0 theme it freezes my wave, and lags the ps going into and out of vsh. Though the only reason I wanted this anyways was because it can suspend from vsh.
