You really didn't think that Ditlew and Fanjita would abandon us, did you? Of course not! We hope everyone enjoyed the April Fool's Day fun both here on the front page as well as on our eLoader forums! But whatever emotional trauma some of you endured is worth it, because this release of eLoader has what you want - WiFi!That's right, eLoader "Bock" now supports WiFi access, both ad-hoc and infrastructure, on all PSP Firmwares - without the hassle of a "WiFi hack" as was done in earlier versions! Ditlew and Fanjita want to send out thanks to Chris Swindle (who created the WiFi capable Quake port) for pointing them in the right direction in freeing up WiFi capabilities for the eLoader without needing kernel access.
Another new feature for "Bock" is caching the list of homebrew on your memory stick, "so if it's less than an hour since the menu last scanned, then it will just load the cached data instead, making it much faster to load the menu if you have a lot of homebrew."
So for all your pain and misery this April 1st, you are rewarded with seamless WiFi homebrew functionality for all PSP's - another ground breaking achievement from Ditlew and Fanjita, with an assist from Chris! Here's a few tested Wi-Fi homebrew programs for you to try out, and don't forget to check out the list of working homebrew for 2.0 and 2.01+ Firmware!

I knew that it was an April fools joke. Although I don't need the eloaders. Since I have one psp for games and one for homebrew. I do give much respect to the creators of them and the other homebrew programs. I got the most enjoyment from reading the post about the joke. Except rail he has issues or is just a lonely person hoping for some attention on the internet since he doesn't get any from home.

it's the menu that not working( maybe the cache things system) only need to use the older menu of eloader 0.96 by copy loadmenu096.pbp-> rename to loadmenu097.pbp and loadmenu.tga to eloader directory and it will work;)

To be honest I can not believe that people fell for this. The mention of a leaked version of firmware 3.0 was a dead giveaway, if there was an actual leak of this firmware version then PSPUpdates would be forcefeeding us the news. Anyway, I appreciate the efforts of those who develop and assist in developing the eboot loader, for those who must decide between keeping firmware 1.5 and updating to play the commercial game they are interested in this project makes this tragic decision far less, well, tragic. Also, I sure as hell hope SONY does not block the eboot loader in the next firmware update, since it does not make piracy of PSP games possible at this point and increases the PSP's appeal (at least for some of us) by allowing us to use free software there is no reason to prevent it.

even though you rename the file, it will indeed load the load 96 menu but pspradio v0.38.07 wont work...on firmware 2.0 im going back using the old eloader with the wifi background. till theres a way to fix this.

Watch the comment at 4:35PM, then the new version will work. I think in a few hours the new loader menu will be fixed that we can use it without the old 0.96 loader menu. GREAT WORK! Now the wifi works without the separate wifi-loader. Ditlew and Fanjita are the best!!!!

Quake doesnt work for my 1.50. When i start it, it says: W_LoadWadFile: Couldnt load gfx.wad
i had to take the biggest crap ever..and when i tried to fulsh the toilet. it got stuck..soo i had to use my hand..ill post later after i wash my hands. later..

It doesn't brick your PSP or anything, but it's the same thing as 0.96, but the little picture where it shows the bottle cap has changed, and now it says "0.97" instead of "0.96." This is just the version 0.96 eLoader, made to look like "0.97." Nice April Fools trick, you mother*****ers.

Something is wrong with the "loadmenu097" that causes 2.0 PSP's to crash (possibly 2.01+ too). It can be fixed by using the file from eLoader 0.96, but Wifi wont work. This whole 0.97 eLoader with Wifi better not be a double april fools joke and just a malfunction, or everyone will really hate Fanjita and Ditlew

for firmware 2.00. Some said replace the menu picture (skin) can fix it, But I'm using the choice+ menu and it is working well but i haven't deeper on it yet with wi-fi. Wondering if the homebrew connect it b y setting or the eloader menu do it?

I to have problems trying to get this new eloader to work with my 2.0 PSP with the tiff exploit, I did what was mention on the forums about replacing the menu file from 97 with the one from 96. However, when loading PSP Radio, It detects the wifi connection when I make it detect connection 1, But non of the shoutcast streams connect, On top of that, When exiting PSP Radio, It still hangs on the shutting down screen until you hold the power button to turn it off.

when using the pspradio you must refresh the list and the thing below it everytime or it wont connect
If you meant refreshing the shoutcast DB and the playlist, I tried that, The shoutcast DB won't download, It keeps giving me connection timeout, And any of the streams on my playlist section wont connect either, So somethings wrong with PSP Radio in this new eloader, It only works properly in the previous eloader.

yeah, i can't find ANY working wifi apps! this is bull. just like the last release. infrared with only (sony remote) one app working. as for quake, i get an error saying that it can't load gfx.wad before i even get to play of course.

pspradio does not even start. i've tried 3 different ones too! it does the old 10 second countdown til power down right when you enter the ui.

the last eloader let IR remotes work. yes all IR remotes work on 2.6 since last eloader update. duh! roms and emulators have been working since the first eloader came out it is just VERY stable now.

Warning, Super Bock caused me to have a super brick PSP!!!
will this damage/ruin my PSP in anyway as my m8 had a PSP and he had his bricked from homebrew so . . . i was just wondering?
As far as I know, the Eboot Loader works using parts of the game Grand Theft Auto and has not been programmed to tamper with the PSP's firmware in any manner. It is 100% safe to use and the worst that can happen is the PSP crashing due to a bug in the loader or some sort of compatibility issue.

Dude...i downloaded the Automatic Installer or something and it doesnt load anything! It just starts as GTA!
So . . . instead of this messing with my firmware it messes with GTA? I have GTA :D . . Will it be the homebrew then what will either damage/ruin/crash my PSP???

Also theres a post about half way down this page that reads "Wicked I'm defiantely not upgrading to 3.0 when it comes out" Just a word of warning if you do upgrade to 3.0 Im sure there will be some heavy security measures and loading eboots will probably become even more clunky than the current method of loading it via a pictuer once they find a v3.0 security hole.

it works fine for me but once i play the hombrew game i cant get back out of it and go to the menu i have to take the battery out or put the switch up for a couple of secs. help whats wrong?

i got 2.0 and did exactly what the readme file told me to do even puttin up a picture as the wallpaper and it still aint workin...maybe im still doing something wrong...im not expecting to get an answer since i dont think anyone that has asked a question has really gotten an answer...just wanted to let people know that havent installed it yet
typing on psp wouldn`t it be a very good idea to make an eLoader that works for all games? I mean what about all those minors that want their psp`s hacked? I think we are being a bit selfish.
Hello and thanks for this amazing loader, it helps out us 2.6 people the most have fun in our spare time, but the main reason i put this post up is to ask about n64 emu... I know psmonkey is hard at work bu i find he is taking a long time to take it out unless hes waiting for easter. but i would like to see you guys on that case working on it so thanks again.

i have 2.6 and quake the multiplayer one worked i was playin it online but it sucks cuz its hard on a psp... i also have ftpd and it works...

wow, thingz startin to kick off for 2.6. thanx so much.I cant get quake to even show up in my eloader tho. and 1 more thing ir works for 2.6. sorry for being so needy. but i need some action for my psp!! i cant afford to fork any more money over for any more UMD games that need more developing experience to be of value in my opinion. ok i have V. 2.7 and i see that i have the emulator in the saved data utility, but when i look in the memory stick theres the game and it has Quake and everything but when i try to start it it says files corrupted! Does any1 know the problem?
It doesnt work on a FW 2.7, they patched it up. So its useless...get rid of it

i cant run the eloader on my 2.0 psp, it just shows the white text and the screen becomes black and then my psp restartscan any one tell me asap cheers!!!
