Run UMD v0.01.01a Experimental Released

Saturn Expedition Committee has updated their Run UMD to version 0.01.01a Experimental. Run UMD is a homebrew program for enabling 1.50 PSP to run 2.00+ UMDs without having to upgrade the system software. This program is NOT an ISO loader program but a legal UMD launcher. You will need the actual UMD game to play. No changelog is mentioned in the readme, but hopefully the compatibility is now improved by a little.

Updated compatibility list:

Mobile Train Simulator - Cannot start
Talkman - Black out during the startup
Monster Hunter Portable - "Character making" -> "Name entry" fixed, Online mode unusable.
GTA: LCS - Working (but random crashing reported by our users)

You see this is why MPH has not released another version yet, he is waiting until it actually works, even the version that he did release is better then this S**t. They used MPH's sorce and screwed it up while trying to make it "Legal" but they dont get it, they are still modifing sony's code so it is still Illegal... If you are going to do something do it right and dont release it until it does something the previous version does not. Stick with MPH, if you dont like the fact that it loads ISO's then dont load them.

I have to agree with Anonymous Coward, I would suggest sticking with MPH. If GTA crashes randomly I would guess that it might be because they tried to up the processor speed. When I did that with UMD Emulator / MPH's loader it would freeze randomly as well. Or it may be that MPH's is just better as of now :) MPH has quite a reputation already (Downgrader, FW loader, etc..) and GTA:LCS works perfect for me with his loader.

they are doing a useless job. Who in the world except japan has a talkman, train simulator, or a Monster hunter?

If they wont support isos, tell them to keeep themselves in japan and shut up

you know not everyone wants to play isos...

there are people who actually buy games who cant play them because they dont want to update..

for me, this loader loads gta perfect for me,, doesnt even freeze,, exept the odd time,,

i used mph's loader before, but it didn't load cheatdevice, sleep mode messed up,, and took up 25mb in extra files,,

this loader lets cheatdevice work,, sleep mode works,, and is only 4mb in extra files

thats why i like this one better,,

The one thing this dose that MPH dose not is load up P.J'S king kong i am using the first relase of this loader and am in new york at the end of the game.

i tryed the mph and it was a no go.."ive had this game almost ever sence it was released and not been able to play it now i can i think thats good and king kong also requires 2.5 firmware not just 2.0

I say keep up the good WORK !!!!!
