You guys sure are getting a lot of Christmas treats this year. We just talked about the upcoming rise of 3.02 OE-B and we're one step closer to getting 3.03 to complete hack-ability.Team Create and Destroy, which everyone knows more as Team C+D, was able to pull off a full decryption of 3.03 and released their PSAR Dumper for it. For those of you who didn't hear of the 3.03 release, it adds new PlayStation titles that people can download from the PlayStation Store and play on their PSP. 3.03 also managed to add some new wrinkles in the code, which left encrypted modules and hindered DevHook emulation as a lovely parting gift.
While the PSAR dumper does work and decrypt all encrypted modules, reports from the forums show that it isn't emulating correctly with the current version of Booster that allows PSP users to use fw1.5 and fw2.71 on a single PSP.">Devhook. With all the recent and amazing updates who knows, we might see a updated Devhook which supports Firmware 3.03 soon. If you want to discuss this development check out the forum thread below.

I found out about this news way more than 2 hours ago but I didn't bother informing QJ.net simply because they do not have the basic courtesy of crediting their news tippers or even the source. Way to go QJ.

That makes as much sense as not voting and then getting upset when the person gets into office. If we get a news tip we always try and thank the submitter. Login if you are going to constantly criticize, at least that would give you some creditability. Theres no way for the admins to compare your anonymous (aka non-username) with any email submitted tips to validate your complaints.

Glad to see some one was able to do it but I don't see the advantage of it yet since there are no games that even use 3.0 yet. Also if Dark_Alex is able to get 3.02-OE-B to emulate any ps1 game, and I have all the confidence in the world that he can then there won't be any reason for the ps1 download store.
why are people so ignorant? Sony is NOT against homebrew! They are against pirating games, as everyone is (devs n such)!

so i now have 3.03.... just got it... can i get games???? i have not yet succeeded in playing an emulator on my psp
hey i just baught my psp 1 week ago and updated it to v3.03 i have no clue on how to use this "hack" so can anyone please tell me how to use it :).... also if i dont like it, can i update my psp system to the new sony system release and erase this software out of the psp...? and do the games just work like normal games in the memorystick do or do u have to use a different program to hack the game first then u upload it into ur psp...thx alot:)

how do i install this on my psp!!!!!
I'm on 1.50 and I'm running DevHook 0.52 with FW3.03. Popstation converted my TEKKEN3.ISO that I ISO'ed from my PS1 CD. I copied all the files across and when I go to run Tekken 3, I get that error too: To use this content, you must activate the system. Is this because DevHook is unable to emulate the PSX games?

People read the other posts before posting dont just post 'omg i just upgraded to 3.03 please help' as you CANNOT do homebrew (that means all non sony applications) on 3.03 it DOESNT work at the moment stop asking for help it will only work if you have a custom 3.03 firmware and you CANNOT upgrade to that from a 3.03 firmware. this is all at the moment so things may change so for now non custom 3.03ers SHUT IT

that problem occurs to anyone who has a 3.03 firmware that is non-custom. all the homebrew software will not work until an updated "3.03 non-custom" file is released. don't upgrade anymore, although still f^ed anyway.
