Don't you guys realize that your hurt the psp. If this keeps up the psp might go the way of the Dreamcast. I like my psp and will support it anyway possible. Homebrew is great in all when it's not used to pirate old games. there is some pretty cool stuff out there. But I feel alot of you guys are just want it for those dam ISO's. in a way you're makeing that dam Ds win. Developers are afraid to put make new hot games because it may not sale. why you ask? because everybodies waiting for some team to bootleg the dam thing and get it for free. I don't work for free. And I'm sure the gaming companys don't either. Just think about what your doing. And don't get mad WHEN the end comes

Unfortunatly he is right. Although ISO loading was and still is. Intended for the sole purpose of being able to play your backups of your games while keeping your origional disks from harm and or wear and tear. However there are those out there with no sense of morals that will pirate them. And that is what sony is afraid of. Aswell are the developers. Im not saying we should ban ISO loading on the PSP. And I will give you an example why. Lets say hypothetically that a 12 year old boy in his room uses his dell laptop (no i dont own a dell just examples here remember, dell fanboys need not fear or flame) to hack another computer in a major corporation. Should we ban all dell computers since it was a dell used to do it. Or worse all computers cause people use them to hack? Hell no. It is not the responsability of the devs (DAX, Fanjita) that people pirate the ISO's. That is the sole responsability/fault. Of that individual and his/her morals. To do the right thing. Now since were on piracy allready. No I DO NOT support piracy. However I DO support ISO's. WHy you ask? Simple. I like to be able to play my games any time I want blow up the backup disks when they get scratched. and have the ability to just make another backup. So long as the origional is locked up in a safe place my money will never be lost. And i can enjoy my stuff without the worry of " OH ***** MY DISK BROKE/GOT SCRATCHED NOW I GOT TO BUY ANOTHER ONE BUT IM BROKE AND CANT AFFORD ONE" Before this was possible to do. How many of you had that happen. You go to play your game and its not playable due to wear and tear. THis is the very reason ISO's were created. To protect the users content through ability to back them up and play off the backups. Just because I download Sonic Rivals to my psp and run it does not mean that sega lost a sale! I would of bought it even if i HAD the money! But when its there for teh taking, let me give it a test run. If i really want a game, I'll buy it, because the best games usally are too big to fit on an average memstick anyways., and because Itts a game worth buying. If the gaming companies had treated us Europeans fair it would have stopped at least some of the piracy, I adit that I have downloaded MGS, but that is because of the *****ing retarded long time I have to wait for it to come over to my country! It came before christmas for you american guys, the release is set to April in Europe I think. And do not tell me that I'm lucky because I get the European extreme difficoulty, you will get everything we have in the substance version anyway... well its a really complex topic, but to the noob that said that they are just version updates, he is wrong.. it is actually how the complex decoder process was solved. The most easy way is to solve for 'a' (its kinda like algebra) and as time goes on, the devs solve the equation for 'b' and 'c' ('b' being second hardest, and 'c' being the hardest to solve for) solving for the harder letters gives a speed boost and more compatability incase yyou were wondering what the point was...

I will not be telling anyone here how to load a ISO. If you know how to create it. Then you should know how to load it. Im sorry but I will not tell somebody how to pirate a game. (not saying you were going to just that if you have the ISO you should know how to use it asuming you created the ISO in the first place) As for Verbatim. jixer, do you mean 3.01 firmware or 3.11 or 3.10 if 3.10 or 3.11 then no you would upgrade to 3.30 then downgrade from there if you have 3.01 then all you do is downgrade with a downgrader that is already out

Piracy will not hurt the psp, it will make more people buy it. The Commodore 64 and the Amiga 500 are 2 of the most bought games machines ever and neither of them had any worthwhile copy protection. Everyone who had them had 100s, maybe 1000s of copied games.

The developers are scared that they may not make a profit off of the games if they are so easily pirated. Don't get me wrong there are alot of people that actually purchase the games.
