PSP homebrew: EBOOT.BIN Patcher v1.0 - run 5.55 games on CFW 5.00 M33-6, 5.03 MHU and 5.03GEN-A |

M33 users rojoice! Homebrew coder MC707 has released the first version of EBOOT.BIN Patcher. This homebrew tool will allow CFW 5.00 M33-6, 5.03 MHU and 5.03GEN-A users to run 5.55/6.00 games that was patched by Yoshihiro's Games Decrypter or by jas0nuk's PRXDecrypter.
Instructions:
- Load your ISO using UMDGEN and extract the Eboot.
- Decrypt the Eboot using Game Decrypter or PRXDecrypter
- Patch the Eboot using EBOOT.BIN Patcher
- Rebuild your ISO using UMDGen v.4.00
- Save the ISO file and you're done

Aw, I knew I should have waited. Oh well, I'm not having any issues with GEN.
yoshihiro has released a new version on game decrypter that is compatible with 5.00 m33 and 5.03 GEN. just look on the pspgen website. (use google translate because its in french)
Unless my French has gotten really bad, the only thing pspgen mentions is this new file patcher. In case someone needs it, they do give instructions on how to use this program in French at http://www.pspgen.com/psp-eboot-patcher-jouer-jeux-iso-555-5-03gen-actualite-190206.html Still, it's great to see some of the older firmwares continue to be supported.
what 5.55 games are there again? cuz recently dissidias all ive been whoring on

Damn it.i spent a day trying to decide whether to go to 5.50Gen-b.And then this comes out. Oh well,theres nothing wrong with Gen at all.Except the memory Stick reading speed. And theres always hellcats.......

i've tested it on minis and so far only Hero of Sparta works (bad frame rate). Sudoku and Fieldrunner do not work.

There is no ms reading speed problem. You can use fatmsmod in GEN to get the exact same speeds as M33 (as it was made for M33 in the first place).

i can finally dump GT and play it on my 3K unit :D theres no way im giving up HEN support so this is fantastic. Filer Kernel3's UMD dumper wont work on 3k..
When I try to DL this AVG shows it as a Trojan hose, be safe people, DON'T download this until verified by QJNET. That is all.
I was a little hasty running this program without first reading the comments below. The program itself is presented very much like a 'crack-team program' and it did concern me a little. I ran the 27769_eboot.bin.patcher.1.0.read.nfo.toolrev.zip through VirusTotal, and 4 of the 41 virus scanners returned positive for infection. A Mac isn't a real computer? Last I checked they were just PC's with EFI.... ..... .......

actually i dont know if you know this but, PC's have EFI's as well. I prefer PC's EFI because its been optimized for all kinds of work. if you did anything but browse the internet, you would choose PC no questions asked. Being a programmer, i use PC over anything else for obvious reasons. I could dual boot linux but its never been critical.
It's not supposed to decrypt the game. It's meant to patch an already decrypted EBOOT to make it work with all current firmware offerings. (5.00M33, 5.03GEN, 5.50GEN) See the instructions. It says you have to decrypt it first.
