Ó

Bomberman - Image 1From the same guys who brought you PMP VLC Player for the PSP, we now have the second PSP homebrew game to ever grace the PSP-3000!

If you remember back in the day when old school exploits were all the craze, they were usually followed by TIFF games like Snake, Pong, or Tetris. This doesn't follow previous trends though!

Yes, Bombermen GripShift v1 from Team P86 (a port of coolguy5678's TIFF TNT Dude from back in 2006!), if it isn't obvious from the name yet, is a Bomberman clone using the PSP-3000 Sparta SDK and GripShift exploit that MaTiAz and FreePlay found the other week. Though that might be the case, this should also work on whatever CFW you may be using on a non-PSP-3000 unit.

Since this is the first release, there's no changelog yet. The readme does include some notes on installation and some known bugs.

The title of this article is "New homebrew game for PSP-3000: Bombermen GripShift v1", but in the article you state that the homebrew game is called "Bomberman", not "Bombermen".

» Obviously

It started out as Bombermen signifying there was more than one but you see. This one bomberman went rogue because he wanted to be the only star of the game and just bombed the ***** out of the other bombermen making him the only one left which the game will then be called bomberman signifying only one.

» umm

I don't see anywhere in the article where I called it Bomberman. All instances referring to the name of the homebrew game is spelled "men" and the one instance when I said "man" was when I described it as a clone of *the* Bomberman game.

» Hey, it's TNT Dude

Just pointing out that this is a port of my game called "TNT Dude" which I wrote for the TIFF exploit. Don't flame P86; they did give me credit for the original source, QJ just forgot to mention it... It is nice to see my old game coming up again, and I was actually thinking of porting it myself, so yeah.

Yep, you should have bought a slim, 160 or 120euro is alot of money, i paid 25us for a sealed copy of grip shift about a week ago, no way in hell would I have spent anything more than 25us.

Plus patience is a virtue, and dax and anyother dev can take there time.

And yes, it *is* nice to see your old game surface once more. Dude, TNT Dude was released back in '06, yeah? Hehehe!

I'll sneak in that bit in the article. Nice to see you pop in again. Hehehe! We haven't heard from you in a while! ^_^
