Hellcat's Recovery Flasher v1.60 released: adds detection for HEN mode, supports CFW 5.00 M33-6, more |
Ó
It's been a while but now he's back! Homebrew coder Hellcat has released a new update for his Recovery Flasher, a handy homebrew app that can recover semi-brick PSP's, upgrade and downgrade your CFW's, make and restore dumps and many other useful functions. The new update has added detection of HEN mode, now supports CFW 5.00 M33-6, adds detection for PSP 3000 and PSP 2000 TA-088v3+ and more. See the list of changes below.
Changelog:
- Updated 5.00-M33 installation to revision 6
- Changed autonaming of new backup folders to include date, firmware, psp model
- Made the resurrecion.prx replacement function working on all DDCs from 6 and above
- Added detection of PSP 3000 and PSP 2000 TA-088v3+. Flash writing functions will be disabled on those PSPs as they are not CFW capable and flashing would result in a brick
- Added support for "Firmware Packs" - theese, like addons, packs will eliminate the need for a complete new release only when a new (C)FW is released. Instead of releasing a new Recovery Flasher it'll just be such a pack, enabling Recovery Flasher to install the new firmware until an update of the main app is done that supports the firmware natively. Can/Will also be used for making Recovery Flasher install CFWs not supported, like GEN and such.
- Added complete checksum-check of the updater .PBP going to be used to avoid corrupted/incomplete .PBPs causing a brick
- Added full verify of the NAND dump that got written to be sure you have a good one
- Added detection of HEN mode
- Added detection and propper handling if a backup set contains OFW instead of CFW (like when made from HEN)
- Added better NAND dump handling. New dumps are now created with names similar to the (new) backup slot names (and now go into /flash-nanddumps), incl. an ID for the PSP they are made on, on NAND restore a list is shown with all available dumps matching the ID of the current PSP to choose from (the ID matching should prevent choosing a wrong dump accidentally)
- Added back/cancel on backup creation and restore
- Backups made from HEN mode are tagged to identify them as containing ORIGINAL firmware (as those backups do!)

i was thinking to far ahead of my reading... maybe one day...
I was able to EASILY flash my PSP 2k using ChickHEN and this to get my PSP down from 5.03 to 5.00 m-33. I love it. I been looking around with ChickenHEN and the M-33 enabler, but this is just awesome.
ok..im currently using the chickHEN xploit with my psp 2k model..as well as the CFW enabler...so my question is..can i use this app to make my psp even better than it already is? sorry if it sounds like a dumb question..im just curious..thnx in advance...
hells yes! one of THE best apps for PSP especially if you cause a brick on the go with no PC access! great stuff hellcat!
in other words this is a form of a downgrader if you think of it
It doesn't really change what the CFW enabler does per se, but I flashed my firmware to CFW so it was ALWAYS CFW. Not having to Hen, then CFW. Plus now I can make Pandora batteries and my theme is VERY customized now!
this will let you run iso/cso/ps1 i downloaded resistance and rockband aswell as some ps1 games and all run great
now psp - 3000 still cannot work any iso?
will this fix the id storage of my psp, i have a problem with the adhoc of my psp and ive read that the downgrading and upgrading messes up that thing, will this fix it? i have firmware 3.40 oe and i love it i have everything i want in it( except for adhoc), i even play the latest umds and cso, so i dont want to sacrifice anything i have please help, thanks.
