Amidst all the next-generation buzz with the PS3 and Wii being released in a few days, Fanjita has surprised us all with a new eLoader release! This release is the one that many users have been waiting for - the day that 2.80 can run an eLoader of their own! That's right, 2.80 will now receive a lot of homebrew loving from this release allowing user-mode on 2.80! So, all those beggars who have been awaiting this day for a few months have finally gotten what they wanted - so patience does pay off in the end!This new eLoader may not "wow" previous eLoader users, but it's a huge step in the homebrew scene, something of which I am proud to report on. There's an interesting new feature that is being included in this loader - a direct experimental homebrew launch from the XMB (cross-media bar) for 2.80 firmware. This has never been done on an eLoader before, so it will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
All current eloader users will find that this does not add much new compatability support for existing applications with a few homebrew less stable than normal (mostly represented on 2.00 firmware). So, Fanjita has come up with an ingenious plan - keep them both and use them both (the older eLoader - v0.99 and the new one - v0.995).

UPDATE 1: Jordan Black has also informed us about the PatchSFO tool for Eloader 0.995 which users may need for using this new eLoader. According to the readme file that comes with this tool:
This program is used to patch the EBOOT files to make them compatable with firmware 2.80. This application goes through all of the applications installed in MS0:/PSP/GAME/ and patches them so that they will start with xLoader.
This was a tool that we used during testing and we thought it would be useful to users, the source is provided as well so that if anyone wants to build this into an nice application, you can do.
It will presumably also work for making homebrew compatible with Dark Alex's HEN C, although we haven't tested that to confirm it.

its freaking amazing how stupid people are....... its like you tell somebody not to do something and they do it. and those people that still dont know about other downgraders that have been out for like months now. If you wanted it to be done sonner, then why didn't you learn to code yourself and do it yourself. Then you wouldn't need to complain about how long it takes. It isn't exactly the most easiest thing to make an eLoader for 2.80. And, who are you, their teacher? They don't care what kind of grade you give them...

This is BIG news for all of us that were jammed with 2.8! Hopefully some day in the future a downgrade will be possible too, but till then, this is great :)
I WAS A HAPPY 1.5 PSP USER AND UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING ABOUT PSP/HOMEBREW REALLY WELL. until my psp broke. AND I HAD TO GET A REPLACEMENT BECUASE I HAD A WARRENTY. No it will not work. I believe they should make xLoader (eLoader that loads from XMB like 1.50) for psp's lower than 2.8 also.
well i no how that feels to but i got the t82 motherbord but thanx 2 my friend who droped ma psp and my power botton bricked i got a new 2.5 and then updated to 2.6 then to 1.5 i had to wait until the downgrader came out and i did not cry all day plz come with a downgrader i just waited then updateed to 2.71 se and my other psp 1.5 and my last one 2.82 MODCHIP then updateing to 3.00 4 the ps3 P.S 1.5 "2.71 SE 4 Life N 2.82(MODCHIPED) 4 Life F**K UR LIFESTYLE=D

lavasofa: Currently, there's no exploit for 2.81; we can't run any homebrew unsigned code on it, so there's no way we could downgrade it. Even if we could run unsigned code, we still wouldn't have a way to give it access to flash0, required to flash the firmware (which is needed to downgrade). We can only decrypt it because it uses the same keys as 2.80, and we could get the 2.80 keys because they were left in memory and could be reached through the TIFF exploit.

Just an thought is someone can figure out how these demoes bypasss the game restriction on psp's they can possibly make a downgrader for it but thats merely speculation. this aint a downgrader but its a start. the scenes been pretty dry lately(besides java and a couple updates) and if it wasnt for a couple on the side things i am chacking out "re4 on psp" though its probly just bullcrap if it aint im gonna need a new change of underwear. long live fanjita ditlew and the crew thanks qj for being so damn cool 2.71 se for life viva la resistance.

the way i see it... if you have a Ta-082 ... then update cause you surley can't get 2.71SE-B'' or 1.50 and run all the hombrew... but if your PSP is a Ta-79 or somthing then don't update ,,,wait til' your able to downgrade..

ive been out of the loop for a while on the new psp hombrew scene, ive been usin fw 1.5 for my emus. i was wondering if there are ne new hombrews to allow me to play games that require 2.80+ fw on my 1.5. i woulda asked on the forums but i cant remeber my pw, i havent been on in a while. o and can some1 fill me in on wutever happened to the n64 emu progress (daedalus), i havent seen ne new releases in ages? ty....................................

You do know that a replacement screen is about 1/4 the price of a brand new psp and extremely easy to replace, right? Why would you get a whole new psp? Don't tell me you actually sent it back under warranty...
Look out for my screen name in the coming days I'm releasing a TA-082 downgrader for firmware 2.82. I've waited to release this baby at a time where there would be a major milestone in the homebrew scene and I almost decided to release it today, I have finally decided that this milestone by Fanjita is not considered a milestone worthy of releasing this. I will release it once 3.00 is out.

I bought Initial D when it came out and waited for months for devhook emulation (it looked so lonely just sitting there in the box, waiting to be played...) Patience is a virtue, folks. Yeah the better homebrew method for 2.71 is called DOWNGRADING...
yeah try 2.71 SE-B" or if you don't want to upgrade to SE-B" then try good old devhook... most 2.80+ games work on both of those... I run VCS on SE-B"

Don't say such ridiculous things, you might actually get some newbs hopes up... I have never heard your name nor seen any project or program released by you, and the ONLY person to successfully downgrade a TA-082 using a software method is 0okm, and his method required more than just running a program on your PSP and pushing a couple of buttons... Not to belittle you or anything but I think I have to call BS on this unless you can provide proof... besides why look for a milestone , it would make more sense as an unknown in the scene, to release the day after Fanjita. If your downgrader were real it would blow Fanjita's release out of the water... So, PURE BU!!$H!T unless you have proof...
Considering that Fanjita has never supported ISO loading then probably not, but I haven't used an eLoader since before you could downgrade 2.0 so I wouldn't really know. I don't really keep up with eLoader...

oh yeah i have a ta-082 downgrader... i made it and you just put in a memory stick in the PSP with firmware 1.50 update and turn it off and turn it on.. and yeah... mine is easy...

You could try selling your 2.71 & buying a 1.50. If you acctually do this buy the 1.50 before selling the 2.71. Just an idea :-)
o ya forgot to put in ta-082 board.. i want to get all the proven facts that i can use snes and some other old games system to work because i love the good old dayz.....

Try HEN-C it's specifically for 2.71, you can even get Devhook on it...
or you could downgrade to 1.5, I know you don't wanna brick but, downgrading is very safe now... If I were you I would downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to 2.71SE-B" you get the best of 1.5 and 2.71 all in one firmware and you don't have to mess with loaders like HEN-C or eLoader or even Devhook for the most part, that really is the best option IMHO... Sorry for the double post.
OMG Finally eLoader 2.8 = The Best Christmas Present I'll get this year Mainly because PSP was last Christmas present, and this will give a new lease on life to my 2.8 PSP

gPSP 0.8 works with xloader and eloader, iv tested it myself on my 2.8, but some roms above about 8mb wont load but if its 2-4 or 5mb you fine and it should work just fine. enjoy :)
you must use the 1.0 file NOT THE 1.5, use ***1.0***file, and you still need the gba bios. to get it just google gba bios.

Just to help anyone, the snes emulator posted is the kernel version, which is why it will not work. Use the User Mode Version here http://dl.qj.net/SNESPSP_TYL-Standard-Version-v0.4.2-Super-Nintendo-SNES-PSP-Emulators/pg/12/fid/7757/catid/135 and it should work. Also thanks for working on the great E-Loader for 2.8, i and the rest of 2.8 crew are reeeeaallly please. Thanks and dont give up the fab work.
hey dude it might hurt you that if u sent ur psp for repairs to sony, they might upgrade it for u...my 2.7 came back 2.8 a while back SO THANKS TO NOOBZ TEAM ;)
hey guys i have a 2.80 psp and i followed all the instructions(including the custom background)but when i open the photo folder it just tells me that the folder is empty and when i connect the psp to my PC it tells me that those folders are empty 2
everything work fine pspradio 1st time i run homebrew and i love it! but then pimpstreamer does not want to work , it opens fine and everything and it reads my home folder , but when i try to browse the files on any folder , it freeze and psp restart , if any one an help please i be waiting , lokitoorg@yahoo.com

yo i waited so long i started at a 2.5 and was a bit scared to downgrade just then i heard 2.7 was out i was like i can play locoroco demo the next thing you no before i upgraded to 2.7 a 2.8 came out so i upgraded to 2.8 i was then pissed off wid 2.7 homebrew i new dat if i went to 2.82 a downgrader will come for 2.8 so i stayed calm got a bit gelous about 2.7 but the next thing you no theres a new homebrew for 2.8 now lol im so happy lol lol lol......

Every time I try to load the xLoader through the tiff exploit, my PSP locks up and it powers off. I've tried slideshow and opening the folder. Any ideas?

i need some serious help. i wanna play SNES star fox. i can run eloader just fine, but when i choose SNESTYL ME from the menu, it just crashes!!!! i honestly don't know what to do... the xloader doesn't work either, and i don't have a TA-082 PSP, i've checked. THIS SUCKS!!!

fw 3.0 is so much a rewritten, it will no doubt have bugs that will lead to exploits on it soon. Just don't update to 3.01!! ;-) Fanjita is a King among hackers. I remeber when eloader first aloud homebrew over v1.5. We take it for granted now, but it was a huge shot in the arm for the whole scene. God I was a noob back then.
Check the homebrew compatibilty list for the eloader at noobz.eu I know earlier releases would only run certain versions of snes.
No. Best bet if your on 1.51 to 2.71 is update to 2.71, then use dark alex's homebrew enabler for 2.71(search for HEN C). Then get devhook for 2.71 from dark alex's hompage. This even works for ta-082 motherboards
I think you open the Eloader with tiff. My understanding is the xloader loads from psp's menu. Not sure though, don't have 2.8 but I love noobz team's work!!

I was searching the Internet trying to find something that could help me downgrade my PSP from 2.81, because I just updated it this past Saturday so I could play Socom Fireteam Bravo 2. Now I’m just REALLY PISSED off that I did this. However, the game is awesome! But anyway, I found this site that says you could downgrade any PSP to any lower PSP version that you want in 10 minutes or less. You have to pay to get the read-me or tutorial to learn how to downgrade, but it looks legit and I really want to be able to "downgrade and upgrade my PSP any time I want like the site says I can do. What do you guys think? Look at this site and let me know if you guys think this site is legit. Hopefully it is, because that would mean that there's still hope for us with the firmware version 2.81 or 2.82. Yeah, there is currently no way at all to downgrade anything from 2.80 up. Dont try google, that is the worst source to find things like this, youll just find scams like those two. If anyone finds a way to downgrade 2.80>, it will be posted on qj.

iso game can only be playable if yr psp pass kernel mode. this eloader only logs onto user mode. until some geniuses code a homebrew tat can pair up with this eloader + log into kernel access, den it will be possible. having said tat. i believe downgrader will soon arrive for 2.80 just as like the 2.50/2.60 downgrading news ! So be patient 2.81 ppl. have faith in the programmers. + watever u do with yr psp, just DON'T UPGRADE !!! Not even 3.0 FW ! It's just a matter of time b4 fw 3.0 runs like fw 2.71 SE

limited access capabilities. only run certain homebrews tat require no security check whereas in kernel mode u have full access (pass all security checks) such as extracting fw files from onboard memory, writing certain code lines into some critical files in flash0 n possible of fw downgrade. most importantly u will have the max freedom of doing what u want with the psp os.

has anyone had problems using umdemulator, fastloader, or dax ziso loader? I've been trying to play a LEGAL killzone liberation demo and none of those iso loaders worked on the eloader... also i couldn't get basilisk II to work... if anyone has any solutions make sure to post here thanks
