Train2335 stopped by our forums to inform everyone that he has released a "noob" friendly version of which works on 2.60 and is unconfirmed on other firmwares (does not work on 2.80+). This downdater is a port of Dark_Alex's downdater in eboot form. The previous tiff downdaer was released in .bin form, however with Fanjita's newly released eLoader (0.99), you can run this newly created eboot downgrader from it and downgrade your PSP!
For those who doubted, or were confused by the simple tiff downdaer and just didn't want to take the risk - hopefully you will build up enough courage to downgrade today. Although, tomorrow will be a big day for the scene, so if you don't plan on downgrading yet, feel free to wait until tomorrow is over to make your decision! However, with all downgraders, we urge you that you try this at your own risk. There is a possibility that your PSP may brick if you do not use it correctly. It's been untested on many firmwares and has only been reported as working on 2.60 - so please take that into consideration right now. You can download the file below -

I don't think you can downgrade your TA-082 because it doesn't suppor FW1.5.
This release is for those who doesn't have the GTA unpatched UMD.
There are a few TA-082 with factory 1.5 but the new ones "NEW HARDWARE" can't support it.
Am I right????
Perhaps Dark_Alex is working on a iso loader for his new kernel-mode loader... wait until then TA-082 users...don't try to brick your PSP

i unpacked the file and there is one folder called 1.50 helper with 2 eboot files in it, and another under psp / games that has another eboot. Which one do I load up / load up first. There were no istructions included and I don't care to brick my psp...

The only announced homebrew that is coming out tomorrow is PSX-P, a ps1 emulator. Just read about it on the main page.

new tommorrow is the psx p emulator which will kick fw 3.0 out which in turn will make sony pissed and have to release more stuff to make it worth it. this is gonna be awesome. and maybe who knows im crossing my fingers for the 2.8 eloader, and if were lucky enough, a downgrader might be soon (or not so soon) after.
nice job ! i cant w8 untill 2.80 downgrader will be out cuz when i got my psp it had 2.6 and i thought i will never have GTA cuz i didnt have money have money to buy GTA cuz i allready spent 250 on console.....
Ive downgraded 2.71 and below without this program so its worthless he should of been working on 2.8 downgrader..
Sucks for me, I have TA-082 and 2.81. I have to wait forever for my psp to be more then just a paperweight. u.u
C'm on, i know lately its been the best days for h'brew community but can someone kindly plz make a downdater.....
and no most of us did not upgraded because we were dumb or somethin else, is just that we lost hope (not on the h'brew community though) and had no other choice but to move on....
but not anymore, well patiently wait for the day that ill be able to see the h'brew daylight again. most of us, the users would agree.

All of you 2.8ers, I understand your impatience with a 2.8 downgrader not coming out, while you have to see 2.7x downgraders/homebrew etc come out, but you guys aren't getting this: a 2.8 downgrader is NOT possible at the moment. It may be at some point, but the tiff exploit only opens up kernel mode to 2.71 and below. Without kernel mode, downgrading is NOT possible. It took forever to find a way to get kernel modes on other firmwares, so it may be the same with 2.8x, especially because of all the securities that 2.8x contains. So you guys need to quit demanding/begging for a downgrader to come, because I am sure that they are already trying everything they possibly can to come up with new hacks to access kernel mode. Begging isn't going to magically allow them to find find a new method.
then what makes you think that there willl be a downgrader? i am a 2.8er and am as impatient as everyone. but if y our the ones hounding them to make one, its not that easy. why dont you try? i doubt it. as much as i would love one, and i reallllllly would, give them time, and it might take a REALLLY long time. remember how long it took for 2.6 and then 2.7/1??
God people, if you're NOT going to contribute something, don't POST, dammit. To all you people saying this was useless and a waste of time, get a freaking life. It's fine to say this is good, or it worked on your PSP, or whatever, but if you're just going to post BS like "START WORKING ON A 2.8 downgrader NAO HARHAR" then go away.

as somebody who has been in the scene along time all i can say to you is why did you upgrade to 2.80 and 2.81 becuase now you just fill up th forums whining for a downgrader *****gsssssssss ssssssssss
i dislike the fact that people with two point eight are yelling and screaming about making them a downgrader(whic h we dont have a way of doing so no hack no exploit right now) but in reality if you have a 2.8 ITS YOUR FLIPPIN FAULT. i do believe that upgrading is a personal choice. THE PSP'S DONT UPGRADE THEMSELVEs. least mine doesnt. maybe its broke lol. YOu made the chioce, you live with it stop *****ing and complaining to us cause your a dumbfack.

You can actually "hard down" a 082 mobo in China. There are a lot of places offering this services, not sure about other countries. The only problem is that you CANNOT upgrade your psp anymore but who cares right?
There's also a technique of changing your 082 mobo to 081, and you can soft down after that given that your psp isn't >2.8. Not very sure about this technique though but seems that your psp still need to be open physically in order to do the changes.
Actually, I'm pretty sure you CAN still update again after downgrading a TA-082 this way, but only to 2.6 or higher.

Sorry, I'm not talking about ookm's 082 downgrading poc. I'm referring to the already existing hardware downgrade process for 082 in China which are available in many game shops.

of course it works on TA-082. I guess everyone knows now what QJ meant by today would be a historic day(besides the psxp emu). us psp users are sure getting alot of options for our psp. devhook for 2.71, who would have thought. Dark Alex is really amazing. all praise
oops,no the downgrade does not work on TA-082!!! disregard my post saying it does.
But you can now use the devhook port on TA-082. so you donĀ“t have to downgrade. TA-082 users rejoice.

Has anyone tried this? Does this work? I don't blame you if you haven't, the instructions were kinda crummy, do you still need the 1.5 downdater files on the root? I have heard that Fanjita's eLoader will not let people write to flash so that they don't brick their psp's trying to run one of the original 1.5 eboot update file. Wouldn't it also apply to this downdater? HATE GTA DOWNGRADERS, did Rockstart make all the GTA downgraders godo god. feel like now just upgrading to 2.71 and using Alex's new tiff exploit downgrader for that, would it work?

Guys does anyone have the link to the guide to using this noob hack, been looking all over the forum and there seems to be nothing stating how to use this tiff downdater. Maybe if there was a simple guide with the zip file it would be easier to do or even a link to a guide. Anyways if anyone knows a link or knows how to use the this hack i would be very greatful. how do fricken install the dang thing i put it in my photo folder and i formated my memory stick and it stiil wasnt there and i have 2.71 is it safe will it frigin brick my frigin psp please somebody help me and the other down grader for 2.71 was to hard especilly when you had to obtain a person 1.50 PSP to get the nescarry file

How exactly does this work? I installed eLoader v0.99 and put the EBOOT included on the RAR into my PSP/GAME folder. And, I have the 1.5 files from a previous downdater I used (the GTA version). I'm sure many people want to know: Now what do I do?
