Happy with DevHook v0.50 but want to keep previous versions of DevHook on your PSPs? Nah, it's not being greedy, it's being practical - after all, older DevHooks do have better compatibility with older PSP games. And dodswm knows this, hence he granted your wishes yesterday with his hex-edited DevHooks for 2.71, v0.45, and 0.46 - collectively known as DevHook alternative package.
Now, we have an update to this dodswm-creation that allows PSP owners to run DevHook v0.50 and 0.45 plus DevHook for 2.71 and DevHook 0.46 on one mem stick. This latest version has the following changes:
- Text on eboots have been changed so that displays on the PSP show which DevHook folder is in use
- Modded devhook firmware installers were added
- DevHook for 2.71 has been fixed to emulate 1.5
- Put the lot in one download package

IS IT POSSIBLE TO EMULATE v1.5 ON SE-C TO GET OLDER HOMEBEW TO WORK? I put the files into the DH, and used an older devhook and tryed loading v1.5, but the screen just turns black.
Nice. Hopefully 2.80 will get this soon.

how could we have devhook 5.0 and devhook mod 1.65c at the same time ?

I could be just a little bit paranoid, but in the package the readme points you to http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=35987.
In turn, on thid thread they tell you to download stuff from www.dark-alex.org (?) same thing as www.dark-alex.com (!); ask to whois server if you do not believe me.
This looks a little bit strange, at least, to me.
U MUST DUMP FW FILES YOURSELF
for 2.80+ BECAUSE SIGs CHECK
is not hard to to it take 5 min or less to do
1)d/l update
2)get the data.psar using psp unpacker
3)d/l the psar dumper
4)install psar dumper
5)put data.psar on root of ms
6)run psar dumper
FW dumped
it points to that thread because it tells you how to install devhook (i couldnt be assed to write a proper readme!)
You cannot download from dark_alex.org as these are modded files. There is no risk as no flashing is involved. No reports of bricks: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t+37517
Also i have released a version for 2.71 users (not se) So now you TA-082 users can have fun too!

You can - vshex mod 1.65c is included in the pack! (it just doesnt mention it in the blurb above!)
It uses the folder "LM" on mem stick root for devhook..
In the next 10minites there will be some new on
psp-updates....its 3.0SE! Released -beta- with some bugs with wifi BUT RELEASED AND WORKING

i downloaded devhook 0.50 using one of the ultimate installers and followed all the directions and it doesnt work! Anyone know y it doesnt work

my 2.82 devhook .50 doesnt seem to work after using other versions of devhook. like i installed the 2.71/3.00 hybrid and now devhook .50 refuses to load 2.82... so it breaks it i guess.
Can somebody give me an example of previous devhooks having better game compatibilities ??

i managed to get the old devhook 4x and 0.5 to work by swapping the kd folders, but i can't get any of the new ones to work at all, including this new ta-082 friendly version...
I'd like to know what games don't work too, I've not heard of any so far. Hopefully it's just obscure games that no-one would want to play.

Why can't i access this link.. i remember something like this happend before and found out later is was pulled... why would they pull BETA Custom Firmware 3.00 SE??? WHY I ASK! WHHY!
1. copy contents of DH0500000/MS_ROOT/ to ms0:/
2. copy 2.71 data.psr on the root of memstick (ms0:/)
3. run psardumper press SQUARE
4. move ms0;/f0/kd/audio.prx to ms0:/audio.prx
5. delete ms0:/f0
6. copy 2.82 data.psr on the root of memstick (ms0:/)
7. move ms0:/f0 to ms0:/dh/282/f0
8. ms0:/audio.prx to ms0:/dh/282/f0/kd/audio.prx (overwrite existing file)
9. copy flash1:/ to ms0:/dh/282/f1 (i used fileassistant for this)
10. run devhook0.5
11. select "FLASH ROM" > "flash1: < ms0: install configfile" and press circle for 1 sec.
12. repeat step 11 (writing the config to flash 1 seems to be required)
13. uses these settings
- firmware+2.82
- cpu clock+default
- boot mode+xmb menu
14. select iso or umd
15. start devhook
should work fine, did for me

After reading non stop for three hours I is a tad stuck.
I want to downlad the correct dev hook for my brand new psp. It has factory 2.7 with the ta-082 board.
Which is the correct on to use? All I want is ISO ability.
Any halp would be great as I don't want to brick my new pressie lol
