PSP homebrew developer dav has release a plugin which allows you to modify your PSP's System Information. We all want to personalize our PSPs as much as we can, now don't we?
What it does:
- This is a spoofer (aka faker) for the information found in the XMB->Settings->System Settings->System Information.
- This version supports the firmwares of 5.00 and 5.02 and includes spoofing of both System Version and Mac Address
- So you can personalize the XMB Information for whatever you need, including your own imaginary "8.32342 0xDEADBEEF" firmware and matching mac address.
- Automatic detection of character set (Ascii/ansi or Unicode*)
- Added 5.02 GEN-A support
- Added Mac Address editing

newb! get with the program! duh, ofcorse there's a 5.02GEN-A firmware you doucher!
This is great since now I can block my Mac Address again
now when i put another psp video on youtube, i'll never have to block my mac. it'll say "none of your f***ing business", like it says now (without the ***) :D
Will changing the system name using this only affect the XMB or will it affect games too? (GTA:LCS use PSP's System name as players name in Ad Hoc Multiplayer).
