Are you HEN-D users feeling a bit left out with the recent developments in the homebrew community? Specifically, the release of Devhook 0.51 with 3.01 emulation? Well, today we've got good, no wait, make that grrreat news for all ya HEN-D users!Dark_Alex has just released his port of Devhook 0.51 launcher to 2.71- HEN-D (also usable on TA-082 PSPs)! Yeah-huh, that's right, now 2.71 HEN-D users can also get in on the 3.01 action! Dark_Alex's usage instructions for this port is short and sweet, so we'll let you guys get it straight from him, alright?
Instructions: With devhook 0.45 for 2.71, emulate 1.50 and use psardumper to extract the firmware/s you want (remember that from 2.80 and greater this is specific to each psp so you can't just download a prepared dump). The rest of the instructions are the same that for 1.50.
Now, we're sure there will be those who'll ask whether this can be used with Hen-C too. And the plain and simple answer is nope. Dark_AleX says that the launcher port won't work with Hen-C simply because it uses some functions from Hen-D. So there ya have it! Oh, and kudos to Sony PSP for sharing this info with us in our forums. We're actually a bit torn as to which is the bigger news here: the Devhook port, or the fact that in contrary to earlier reports about Dark_AleX quitting the scene, he's still here and very much active in the community! Amazing Dark_Alex seems to be back. That´s even bigger news than DevHook emulating Fw 3.01!!!! P.S.: Just curious, would this DevHook version for Hen-D run on 2.71 SE-C.... My guess is that it will. Any comments about it?

hello i have 3 psp 1 a 1.5 psp with dev h .51 with frim 3.01 2 a 2.6 psp Ta082 3 a 2.7 psp TA082 i dont understand what this is and if it can help my 2.6 and 2.7 psp ta 082 is this like a dev hook run tru TIFF exploit or what please help
Thanks DAX you made it again. I have fully functional FW 3.01 on my TA-082 AWESOME!!! Is a bit unestable. The only issue is when you quit from a game you have to reboot. But you don't need to pass over 1.5 anymore!! (except for homebrew). Thanks!!
Devhook only works on 1.5 + 2.71 SE as far as i know. You'd need to use HEN to emulate 1.5 to then use devhook afaik.

I was staring to believe that booster and Dark Alex was the same person because it seemed like they would "take turn" with releases. One was quiet while the other was active and vice versa. Things you need: A memory stick (probably larger than 32 MB) A USB Cable or other means to transfer files to the PSP These downloads: - WinRAR http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm - PSP Brew v.091 (or another means to extract data.psar from an eboot) http://dl.qj.net/index.php?pg=12&fid=10972 - 2.82 Update Eboot OR 3.01 Update Eboot (2.8) http://dl.qj.net/PSP-Firmware-2.82-US-PSP/pg/12/fid/10921/catid/163 (3.01) http://dl.qj.net/FW-3.01-update-PSP/pg/12/fid/11396/catid/163 - PSAR Dumper http://files.fanjita.org/psp/PSARDumper_300.zip - Hen D http://dax.lan.st/hend.rar - Devhook .4XX launcher for 2.71 (optional) http://dax.lan.st/devlauncher271_2.rar - Devhook 0.51 launcher for 2.71- HEN-D] http://dl.qj.net/Devhook-0.51-launcher-for-2.71-HEN-D-PSP-Homebrew-Applications/pg/12/fid/11611/catid/151 Once you have all the files perform the next STEPS!!!! Open up PSARDumper_300.zip Extract both folders to X:\PSP\GAME (where X is your PSP's drive letter). 5. Extract the 2.82/3.01 Eboot WinZip file to anywhere on your hard drive. 6. Using PSP Brew, open the 2.82/3.01 Update Eboot (either double click it, or open through PSP Brew) 7. Extract the DATA.PSAR by clicking it, and then clicking extract file (you should extract it on the root of your memory Stick). 8. Disable USB Mode 9. IMPORTANT!!! Install "HEN D", "Devhook .4XX launcher for 2.71" and "Devhook 0.51 launcher for 2.71- HEN-D]" files to the memory stick. This must be performed on THIS VERY ORDER (1. hen d, 2. DH 0.4XX and 3. DH 0.51) 10. Launch HEN D 11. Launch Devhook .4XX launcher for 2.71 and start on 1.5 12. Scroll right to the GAME tab, scroll down to the memory stick icon. 13. Launch PSAR Dumper V2B. When prompted, press 'X'. Wait for the program to finish executing. Your PSP will automatically reboot when it's done. 14. Delete the file DATA.PSAR, and the PSAR DUMPER folders (inside GAME folder) you won't need that anymore. 15. Right click the folder F0, select Cut. Double click on dh, then double click 282/301. Right click in the blank white space, select paste. Click "Yes to all" when prompted. 16 . REBOOT YOUR PSP!!!! Once you do that you will be back on 2.71. 17. Launch HEN D (it will reboot) 18. Scroll right to the GAME tab an launch Devhook 0.51 launcher for 2.71- HEN-D] 19. Once in devhook Scroll to Flash Install, and press 'O'. 20. Now, press 'O' on "Install configfile to flash1:". A screen will come up, if you accept the terms, hold 'O' for a little more than a second. 21. Wait just a bit, then at the very bottom OR the very top of you screen it will say "press any key to continue". 22. Scroll to Firmware, press 'O', and ensure that 2.82/3.01 is selected, and press 'O'. Then press "START DEVHOOK" If all goes well, your PSP should boot into 2.82/3.01! this is great but we can't use 1.5 no more for homrew. in order for .51 to work you have to remove all previous versions of devhook.
you can still use Devhook 0.45 for 2.71 under henD. i just did that. everything works. but DH51 doesn't seem to be stable enough to run ISOs. I tried Killzone. It crashed.

iso's work fine for me in 3.01. how did you get two devhooks working on yours? the main download page for 0.51 says you can't have to delete all previous versions.

Perhaps your dump file is wrong (perhaps), also you can skip the firmware selection and just STARTUP THE DEVHOOK
i had the exact same problem! but hey guess what... after hours of messing with it, i figured it out!! what you needed to do was copy the reboot.bin file from your 1.50 folder (x/dh/150) into the 3.01 folder! it works now, and i am happy beyond words :D!

I'm in the same boat you are. Well, at least i stopped at 2.8. And i can't really complain about the TA-082, i did get it free. Someone needs to come up with a crazy hack that can mod a 2.71 to automatically devhook down to 1.5 whenever the homebrew needs it, all behind the scenes. That would put all homebrew users on the same page. *sigh* if only, if only. I'm just waiting for the downgrader/devhook for 2.8 (either will do). Its not a matter of if, but when. I'm hopeful for sometime before the end of the school year. But thats just me rambling. Good on ya, Dark_Alex.

hi i already installed DH0.51 for hen-d and its running except for my wifi which wont work. i always get an internal error message when i try to look for an access point. can somebody pls help

i also keep the previous Devhook0.45 launcher for 2.71. it works fine with Killzone. a bit annoying, but no choice since DH51 is not stable yet.

Hi! I want to buy a psp second psp,but seeing that all psps come with TA-082,is it possible to play isos on psp with FW 2.71 HEN D + that devhook? I want to ask,because I have many UMD's and I would like to play with my little bro, without buying the same games again.
you can absolutely play ISOs on TA-082 FW 2.71 HEN D + either devhook 0.45 for fw 2.71 (very stable but cannot play ISOs that require fw newer than 2.71) or this devhook.

this devhook is just for 2.71. upgrading your 2.6 to 2.71 is not difficult anyway.

HI, when i open Devhook 0.51 for 2.71 to emulate 3.01, i get this message: "startup the devhook save launcher setting loading devhook DH Ver. :0.51.0000 reboot system." after that message appears it keep on until i reboot. can someone tell me what i am doing wrong. i used the auto fw installer for 3.01 to get the dump etc. my psp is a 2.71 TA-082. please help

I have a 2.71 TA-82 psp and have tried this installation so that i can have hombrew and play the new MGS (requires 2.81). Everything goes ok, but i cannot get Devhook .4XX to emulate the psp to 1.5, i load Devhook .4XX (Same situation with .45) and select 1.5 which takes me back to the main menu, I go to start and select it. This causes the screen to go blank, but instead of restarting or getting the error message, the psp just shuts off after like 15 seconds. when i start the psp back up its still in 2.71. Anyone have problems like this or any tips to get the 1.5 emulation working?? Thanks.
ahh I am a noob, i needed to put the 1.5 firmware files on, then asure that reboot.bin was in both folders (1.5 and 3.01). Now works like a charm!
