Pandora Battery - Image 1Dark AleX is back with a new version for the "Universal Unbricker" for the PSP! This time around, Despertar del Cementerio v6 is chock-full of bug fixes and features. And for the most part, the problem with certain TA-88 PSP models has been addressed.

For those new to this unbricker, and as a recap, Despertar del Cementerio (aka DC) can be used in conjunction with a pandora battery, which then allows you to install pretty much any custom firmware back on your PSP.

Here's the full changelog for Despertar del Cementerio v6:
  • Now installs 4.01 M33-2
  • Change of core. Now it uses 4.01 M33 core. This fixes some TA-88 crashing because of 1.5/3.40 kernel. Note that there are still other kind of newest TA-88 which cannot boot DC at all.
  • GUI of both installer and DC itself changed to a xmb looking one.
  • Added the option "Test M33" which boots 4.01 M33-2 from the memory stick.
Make sure to go through the entire readme file included in the download archive as it contains detailed installation instructions of how to use this. The entire process is still pretty sensitive and may cause your PSP to have problems.

Thanks to LeadBaron for the quick tip!

GREAT!!! thank you so much DaX, for some reason I couldn't install 4.00 M33 the normal way, it always stopped at 99% and I got a brick :(

With this it works just fine.

oh and BTW: the new menu is beautiful.

Congrats on another amazing release DaX. i hope he can work with the IPL problem with the new MB's cause my friends wants to get a psp and i told id install the CF for him, and i dont want him to buy one and find out it cant be done! Its gonna be a tricky problem to fix for sure since the IPL has to be a sony signed one, but im sure he'll find a way do work it out. luv ya DaX!

DAX made a plugin to spoof the firmware version reported to the PSN store via USB.

Get it Here: http://www.dark-alex.org/usbversionfake.rar

It works great. It even feels official, as if SONY made it, mainly because of the xmb waves. I'm using a slim cause I semi-bricked my Fat one. I just need to get a stamina bat for it.
