Dark AleX releases 1.50 kernel add-on for CFW 5.00 M33 |
Ó

No use delaying this even further, so let's just get on with the 'brew! Dark AleX has finally released the 1.50 kernel add-on for CFW 5.00 M33 over the weekend!
This goes hand in hand with the CFW 5.00 M33 he's released the other day, so chances are, if you want your homebrew working well with your unit, this is another must-have. We're a tad late (another understatement); but it's here and it's great - it's cool and it's got DAX-lovin' written all over it.
Full installation notes are included in the readme document.
A bajillion-quadrillion thanks go out to all the tipsters who've flooded our inbox over the weekend (just the way we like it!): corytheidiot, Mentality, ajnauron, Chabbe11, jj_ob, Fadil, Pliskin, LeadBaron, Northernfusion, Gleps, Pheon, Maxexcloo, kayos, Dawnfall, deadman, Double A, jermzx, and johoo!

1st oh & sweet x2
excuse my ignorance, but is there a must-have homebrew for psp around that still needs 1.50 addon to run?
there are some phat users, like me, who have been using the 1.50 version of homebrew for things like NesterJ and pspRadio.
i still use a rss reader called WEBNAB. it utilizes the 1.5 kernel. ALSO QJ was a bit slow in reporting this. this was up on DA's site a couple days ago. I tried to give them the 'tip' but the link sent me back a bunch of undeliverable emails... broken? never-the-less its here now i suppose....
If anyone was curious, fatmsmod.prx can be applied to 5.00 m33 using the same method as 4.01 m33-2.
webnab?
You do realize that FreeRadio does text-based RSS feeds, right? right in the web browser...
I thought they where going to stop supporting the 1.5 kernel?
Back when they did this for 4.05 alex said he wasn't going to do it anymore.
Don't get me wrong I still use 1.50 cause a lot of homebrew hasn't been upgraded.
This is very much appreciated.
I was first noob, Advertising is always first. Hoe.
i could swear my Nester J is the original 1.50 version, but it works fine, along with all my other programs... so I just assumed the 1.5 kernel was there! o'ell i'd better get it now just in case...
Fast, useful, and it has a better interface than google reader for the computer. Use it.
In the config menu, you can change the kernel version to 1.5 without having this add-on. I just thought this was weird. I know it doesn't actually work, but still.
regardless, i still sport a phatty
